AM Practice
Woke up at 4:00 AM (Brahma-muhurta). Quality of practice was good. It consisted of 110 minutes in a motel room with the air conditioning off and the window open.
Svadhyaya: Returned to review in depth “Meditation Pictorial”, Chapter 9 “The Time of Death”.
Dedication: Practice dedicated to Lord Shiva after 5-minute mantra (Om Namah Shivaya) incantation.
Breath Infusion: 45 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma. Half the practice was dedicated to the process of clearing the thighs of apana air (CO2), and infusing prana (fresh O2) into them. Towards the end of the practice Kundalini was solicited in earnest once successfully. Meditation followed immediately.
Meditation: 60 minutes meditation on the back of the head in shavasana (cadaver position = reclining). Most of the meditation consisted of concentration on the area of the back of the head. Naad sound was heard all along. Concentration with effort (Dharana) is more and more entering the effortless state of Dhyana. Twice a deep feeling of bliss and wellbeing entered the head. This was most welcomed.
Dream recall: The Brunton technique for promoting dream recall and lucid dreaming was used before falling asleep. It is basically a willful emphasis on dream recalling and specially lucidity. For the second time a long dream about lucidity itself ensued, meaning the question kept arising in the dream whether I was lucid or not. Obviously I was, but interestingly enough, I thought all along I was awake, but when I really awoke 2 hours had elapsed! I then tried to make contact with Swami Hariharananda, but was not successful although I am confident this will happen soon.

PM Practice
Practice was good. It consisted of 60 minutes in a motel room with the air conditioning off and the window open.
Svadhyaya: Studied for one hour “Meditation Pictorial”, Chapter 10 “Control of the Life Force Through Mystic Technique”.
Dedication: Practice dedicated to Swami Hariharananda, to whom I am trying to contact in the astral.
Breath Infusion: 30 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma. Even before Kundalini was solicited, it was felt along the Sushumna with a tingling effect, it finally exploded after applying the locks standing, so forcefully that I was literally thrown off my feet. Meditation followed immediately.
Meditation: 30 minutes meditation on the back of the head in shavasana (cadaver position = reclining). Most of the meditation consisted of concentration on the area of the back of the head. Naad sound was very strong and was followed for most of the practice.

When naad sound is as described, try to recognize its node. It usually has a vortex node or centralized space where it is emanating from.
Keep a focus link to that place.
