AM Practice

Woke up at 2:25 AM, went to restroom, did the needful, then returned to bed, removed pillow and reclined head in position for back-of-head meditation and looking for an astral projection. I soon entered a lucid dream described below. Practice was good later on.

Svadhyaya: Continued reading the “Bhagavad Gita Explained”.

Dedication: Practice again dedicated to Lord Shiva after mantra and incantation to the Mahayogi, Maheshwara.

Breath Infusion: 45 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma infusing breath on the navel. A unique thing happened today that as soon as I started the breath infusion the 3rd eye was activated as never before, thus I paused and fell into a short meditation. I now know my 3rd eye has never opened before (that I remember, this after Michael’s explanation of what that is), but I think it is getting close. What occurred today was a visible big circle of fiery light or flames surrounding a ball of shifting blue energy. Before today this had been seen much smaller and for a short period, but today it was big and stayed for minutes, as a result, the whole breath infusion was conducted doing pratyahar on the 3rd eye, and I enjoyed this very much. Kundalini awoke and struck the head toward the end as usual (yes, babe, kick my butt! ha, ha).

Meditation: 30 minutes meditation on the back of the head. Many images and visions entered the meditation, where I could read the printing in some of them clearly...where were these images coming from? I am not so sure, but I would venture they came from the head of the subtle body, from the buddhi orb.

Dream recall: One dream recalled of neutral import. Then, as explained above, I returned to bed from restroom around 2:30 AM and posed myself in posture described in “Astral Projection” book, with the head straight on hard bed, no pillow, reclined back, this allows for a point on back of head to touch the surface and it serves as anchorage to the concentration on the back.

Soon I fell into a short lucid dream. Why lucid? I knew I was dreaming and even tried to change the outcome of the dream to no avail.

I found myself in a Vedic ceremony. My subtle body was not visible. There was a Vedic priest officiating it for me. The theme of the ceremony was “change of name”. This priest was similar to one I knew in South India, tall and fat, wearing a dhoti only, with many tilak marks and a shikaa on the back of his head. This is a yajna ceremony. I noticed half of the room was bright, the other half cloudy. I asked the priest to proceed. He answered the ceremony could not be completed. Why? Because of a policy I had incorporated into my life at an earlier time, which impeded the process. I insisted to no avail. I woke up startled. I knew right away what the priest was referring to. In my 30’s I was ruthless. I adopted a policy borrowed from Edgar Allan Poe’s story “The Cask of Amontillado”, in this story, a person, aggrieved by his friend, lure him into the catacombs using wine, tie him with a chain, and entomb him alive, his motto in the story in Latin was “Nemo me impune lacessit’, meaning “no one insults me with impunity”. That was my policy, thus if I felt insulted, I effected punishment, and then some. No wonder Karma did not even wait till next life and so much shit was coming my way soon after. So, to change my name, meaning to change my heart, this policy must be totally discarded. It has been now!

Very good session!

Great that some of the techniques in Meditation Pictorial are working for you.

Others may not have such luck with this.
