AM Practice
Woke up at 3:00 AM (Brahma-Muhurta). Practice was good overall and lasted approximately 70 minutes.
Svadhyaya: Continued with “Bhagavad Gita Explained”, Chapter 2.
Dedication: 10-minute mantra session and doing Tratak (eye concentration) on effigy of Lord Shiva using a Maalaa.
Breath Infusion: 30 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma while doing several asanas, standing, seating, and floor. Infusion emphasis was on the lower trunk, thighs, and feet. Kundalini was solicited up sushumna thrice.
Meditation: 30 minutes with concentration on naad on back of head. No efforts were made to move from there for a while. Two Naads with different tones were identified, the outer one, with a higher pitch, surrounded the other inside the former, sounded like crickets in a forest. Following an attempt to bring naad with the core-self and attention to the front of the head produced a vacuum, a pleasurable one by the absence of harassing thoughts, and also produced image activation at the Kuthasta that lasted several minutes. Although it was dark and I was blindfolded, I could see with eyes closed with clarity as a light illuminated this area (not sunlight, but white light). The visions were as follows: a) Several books open in different pages that I could read perfectly, including all details of the print (this has happened to me before and I have always found the text legible but with syntax and grammatical errors), the language of the text were English and Sanskrit; b) Different landscapes in the countryside, these appeared in panoramic rectangles and were beautiful, a little surrealist like a Van Gogh painting. When thoughts entered the meditation, I made a retreat to the back of the head, and when I brought it back to the front, the images continued. They finally subsided and I returned to concentration of Naad at the back of the head.
Question: Was this a quick opening of the 3rd-eye? It looks so, (it happened without me provoking it in any way).
Spiritual State of Mind and Tapasya:
1. Doing as much Bhastrika prânâyâma as possible.
2. Continue diet of vegetable juice and flaxseed/cottage cheese blended together to shed 11 lbs, and not eating after 6 PM (Tapasya).
3. Continue 2nd Kriya prânâyâma in between the 2 main bhastrika practices (AM and PM) when time permits and observe the effects.
Dream recall: 1 dream recalled.

Alfredo's query:
Was this a quick opening of the 3rd- eye? It looks so, (it happened without me provoking it in any way).
MiBeloved's Response:
Supernatural vision can be had by the two eyes of the subtle body and the single third eye but also by omni-vision of the crown chakra, the buddhi intellect organ and also in its highest states by the sense of identity and even the core-self.
Presently it is hardly possible for us to use the sense of identity or the core-self for omni-vsion but it is possible under rare conditions of advanced meditation to use the buddhi intellect orb.
There is also another vision which is called pranavision which is done through pranic energy or kundalini energy. Usually pranavision is done down in the trunk of the subtle body. It is the same as kundalini vision energy.
Your experience was in the head of the subtle body. It was either third eye vision or buddhi intellect orb vision.
To determine this, you have to study the location. You are already familiar with the back part of the subtle head where naad sound resonates and where you can escape from the dominance of the frontal part which produces thoughts and images. Use that position orientation to better map the subtle head locations.
Where did the vision occur?
As you come forward from the back part of the subtle head. The first outpost is the default location of the core-self. The second outpost is the default position of the buddhi intellect orb. After that orb, you will then meet either the third eye or the sensual orbs.
So if something is shown in the default location of the buddhi intellect orb then it means it was buddhi vision.
If it was shown at the third eye or outside the third eye, then it is third eye vision.
The question should always be this:
Where did I see it?
The answer to that determines what was used to see it.
The reason why it is all about location is this:
The buddhi intellect orb is for the most part an invisible psychic organ. What you can know about it for sure is its location.
Where is its location?
It is where you usually see images and thoughts illustrated in the mind
The task of determining which psychic instrument was used in a perception rests with the student himself. It depends on how hard he worked to determine the various locations in the subtle head which are the default residences of the core-self and its psychic adjuncts.

Thank you very much! Will study this carefully.
PM Practice consisted of a 30/30 breath infusion/meditation pair.
In PM I try to compress the breath infusion practice, giving little space between asanas. PM practice is always stronger than AM in my case.
Naad was there, higher from left ear. Nowadays I can hear it all the times, and if it disappears, the mere act of thinking about it, brings it back.
The visions were still there, but much less than in the AM practice.

same here :)
I was doing a Franz Bardon meditation when I started hearing Naad. I would always hear it and then it would go away whenever I opened my eyes. One day, it just stuck, and I remember spending over 1,000 bucks trying to get rid of it. At that time, I didn't know it had a name; luckily I was already talking to Michael and he told me what it was; however, that didn't stop me from trying to get rid of it.
Nowadays it does not bother me one bit.

Yeah Carlos, tough shit! Deal with it lol.

Carlos:
I believe there is a difference between tinnitus of the ear and hearing Naad. The latter is an abnormal condition caused by hearing loss, the former a subtle perception caused mainly by a meditation practice and conscious desire to perceive it.

NO ALFREDO ITS NAAD!! LOL
You may be right. Actually, I've never discarded the idea that it could simply be tinnitus, a medical condition, as opposed to a spiritual side-effect.
The reasons why I associate it with Naad are the following:
There is an exercise in Franz Bardon's book, Initiation into Hermetics, in which you first see your train of thoughts for like 10 min. Then you narrow it down to one single thought or related ideas for another 10 minutes, then you clear your mind of all thoughts. When I would get to the last step, vacancy of mind, I would try to last in that state for about 30 min. It was at some point during the last step when I would start hearing a very faint sound in my right ear. I would call this sound "el sonidito (the little sound)". I would be happy whenever I'd reach this point because I would consider "el sonidito" as a checkpoint of sorts that only I knew about...like I mentioned, I didn't know it had a name until I met Michael years later.
When I would finish the meditation, I would open my eyes and the "sonidito" would fade away, only to be heard again during that particular meditation and at some particular point. When I met Michael, physically, I explained to him my experience with Franz Bardon's magical exercises. Michael was VERY surprised at my ability to control the weather, summon gales and thunderstorms, and even ruin a farmer's harvest. However, I didn't mention the "sonidito" because at that point it had not stuck to me and also I thought it had no significance, much less a name!
About a year after meeting Michael, I was doing a meditation related to Franz Bardon and the little sound came up again. However, this time it stuck. I remember opening my eyes and this thing still being there! LOL I remember watching porn and doing other unholy things to snap out of it! Nonetheless, it has stuck ever since.
So, is it just a coincidence that it came about when I was doing the meditation? Perhaps it is. I got a medical condition at that particular point. However, even though tinnitus is due to hearing loss, I have not lost one bit of it. This is confirmed by various hearing tests, which drained me of my 1000 bucks previously mentioned. Again this was about hmmm 4 years ago??? Surya, YOU SHOULD KNOW! haha
Anyhow, that's how it is. During meditation I focus on it and bhastrika has yielded great results. Only time will tell what this thing really is. Actually no, only the Yoga Practice will tell if this is Naad or tinnitus, so I need to stop being an average Joe-gi and find out.

Carlos:
Your Naad is Naad, that's it, it is also called Pranava. It is very good to have, tinnitus always comes with hearing loss. This sound, which Swami Hariharananda called "Divine Sound" is the greatest of mantras.

No te creas, Salif :)
Thanks for the information, Alfredo. I had never heard of Pranava, I'll do research into it!

Well, I should have put more meat on that, at least put its context. I was there with Carlito (the affectionate form of Carlos), and when it happened around the time when Carlos started to check the practice out with me when I was living in Laredo, TX over 5 years ago. We were both teachers for the Laredo Independent School District.
I felt responsible and bad for him that he was bothered by naad. I tried to reason him... but he had to go to the doctor, as he explained. So now that it is way behind us I can throw stuff at him about it. Sorry for catching folks off guard.

LOL yep, Salif and I are BFFs, like Krishna and Arjuna! LOL
Nah, Im indebted to Surya because he was the one that introduced me to all of this philosophy and Krishna! I remember him giving me Michael's Gita and I gave him "Dracula" haha. He was the only person in the Laredork ISD who was interested in spirituality and Krishna sent him my way.
Michael says that he is my guru because he introduced me to all of this. So it’s good to know that Surya will die for my sins and will allow me to rule a planet once I die! LOL
