AM Practice
Woke up at 4:00 AM (Brahma-Muhurta). Practice was good overall and lasted approximately 95 minutes.
Svadhyaya: Continued second round of “Anu Gita Explained”. Read also excerpts of “Bhagavad Gita Explained”, Buddhi yoga chapter.
Dedication: 5-minute mantra session and Puja doing Tratak (eye concentration) on effigy of Lord Shiva using a Maalaa.
Breath Infusion: 45 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma while doing several asanas. Infusion emphasis was on the lower trunk and feet. Kundalini does not spark at the sex chakra as forceful as before, unless extra effort is given, perhaps due to constant practice there is less concentration of sex hormones in that area. Sexual thoughts have decreased substantially in the physical realm although they remain a problem at the subtle level according to dreams.
Meditation: Consisted of 45 minutes with concentration on Naad sound, which was strong coming from both ears. Naad faded away towards the middle of the practice, and then concentration on the back of the head was continued.
Spiritual State of Mind and Sadhana Planning:
1. Doing as much Bhastrika prânâyâma as possible.
2. Listening to Naad during the day while in the midst of chores, this as a mantra and spiritual reminder.
3. Incorporate 2nd Kriya prânâyâma in between the 2 main bhastrika practices (AM and PM) when time permits and observe the effects.
Dream recall: 4 dreams recalled. Dream recall has improved since decreasing amount of food intake at nights. Of the 4 dreams, there was an interesting one, the first, that lasted for a long time, pertaining to the Bhagavad Gita. These are dreams that I encourage and welcome. In it, there were several texts read in Sanskrit and the printing was clearly seen, there were 4 teachings that complemented each other in ascending order. The pity is that I recall knowing in the dreams their contents and purpose, but that memory was lost upon awakening.

PM Practice consisted of 108 rounds of 2nd Kriya pranayama that proceeded the regular Bhastrika session. This was an experimental practice.
2nd-Kriya pranayama has a calming effect on the mind. It establishes a rhythm.
I followed with 30 minutes of Bhastrika with the usual solicitation of Kundalini to the head, then 30 minutes of meditation on Naad.
This time I tried what was explained in a previous post regarding trying to take Naad with the core self to the front of the head where the chittavritti is active. Although thoughts took a little while to manifest there, they finally arrived, so I retrieved to the back of the head - where naad is usually coming from. One noteworthy result when naad was taken to the front was a certain numbness in the mind, alike to the slumber preceding sleep, and not the indicated void that would have occurred without thoughts. If this occurred because of taking naad to the forefront or because I was a little tired (it was a long day), will be double-checked tomorrow.
