AM Practice
Woke up at 5:00 AM (Brahma-Muhurta). Practice was standard and lasted approximately 85 minutes.
Svadhyaya: Continued with “Bhagavad Gita Explained”, Chapter 2, out of the dejection of Arjuna and into the Samkhya (Buddhi) yoga second part, almost finished 2nd chapter.
Dedication: 10-minute mantra session and doing Tratak (eye concentration) on effigy of Lord Shiva using a Maalaa.
Breath Infusion: 30 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma while doing several asanas, standing, seating, and floor. Infusion emphasis was on the lower trunk and feet. Kundalini was solicited up sushumna twice.
Meditation: 45 minutes with concentration on naad on back of head. Naad continues to be used as per instruction from post “Thought Interference During Naad Absorption”, upper part instruction.
Sadhana Planning and Tapasya:
1. Doing as much Bhastrika prânâyâma as possible.
2. Diet planning still important.
3. Continue 2nd Kriya prânâyâma in between the 2 main bhastrika practices (AM and PM) when time permits. Effects of this practice includes steadiness of mind and poise, thus it helps during the Naad meditation.
Dream recall: Two dreams recalled.
The first dream was important in that its main character was Swami Yogananda. In it Swamiji gave information regarding the astral planes and lucid dreaming. It was rather a long and winding dream and there was some lucidity to it, as I knew I was dreaming, and the questions I was asking. The origin of the dream is not well defined here yet, as my visit yesterday to Hariharananda’s ashram put me in contact with Yoganandaji’s sphere, and his portraits, which are prominent there.
The other dream was funny, no need to detail it.
=================================
PM Practice consisted in Satsang, 1/2 hour meditation, and reading at the South Florida Hindu Temple.
It was followed at home with 30 minutes Bhastrika, as compressed as possible.
30-minutes Naad meditation. Naad was blasting, blaring from both ears, and a new node was identified inside the Pranava of the left ear. It is a joy to escape the Buddhi organ's cinema show, and take refuge in Naad, if only temporarily.
