नमः शिवाय

AM Practice

Practice was standard overall and lasted approximately 65 minutes.

Svadhyaya: Returned to “Bhagavad Gita Explained”, Chapter 2. Will restart at the beginning of Chapter 2 again because it is not a good idea to leave a chapter like this in the middle, for the wisdom is so profound and important that one loses the thread of thoughts and misses the kernel of the teachings.

Dedication: 5-minute mantra session and doing Tratak (eye concentration) on effigy of Lord Shiva using a Maalaa.

Breath Infusion: 30 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma while doing several asanas, standing, seating, and floor. Infusion emphasis was on the lower trunk and feet. Kundalini was solicited up sushumna twice.

Meditation: Strict concentration on naad on back of head. No efforts were made to move from there. Getting acquainted with the naad, and centralizing concentration at its node.

Spiritual State of Mind and Sadhana Planning:

1.    Doing as much Bhastrika prânâyâma as possible.

2.    Continue 2nd Kriya prânâyâma in between the 2 main bhastrika practices (AM and PM) when time permits and observe the effects.

Dream recall: Dream recall was nonexistent due to family visit, going to bed late and tired. Social interactions can be a killer for Kriya Yoga. Nowadays, I simply dread these interactions.

PM Practice consisted of a few round of 2nd Kriya pranayama, followed by the, by now, usual Bhastrika and meditation rounds.

Breath infusion was consistent, and meditation strictly on naad. Interestingly enough, in the PM I try to bring the core-self/attention to the front of the head as instructed, looking for a possible vacuum, void, and I find such a similar thing, I feel it like a hole in which my consciousness falls, all of a sudden, this is very distinctive in that it brings right away a trance-like feeling, I would venture that Jettins would describe that as "entering the phase", it has happened thrice already, so I do not think I am imagining this, because it is very similar every time.

Also, I blindfolded myself during the breath infusion and I noticed an inner blue outline silhouetting my head...could this be the subtle body? That was the impression I got.

I finally went to the Hindu Temple as every Sunday for Satsang and meditation.
