AM Practice

Svadhyaya: Continued review/study of Chapter 14 of “Uddhava Gita Explained” – “The Chief Cause of Devotion”.

Dedication: Mantric invocation to Lord Shiva, Lord of Yoga. Practice dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Breath Infusion: 45 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma infusing breath on the navel. Continued concentration on the blockage on the small-of-the-back. After 30 minutes, Kundalini was solicited thrice, and she acquiesced twice, during the kneeling asanas followed by the standing pose with locks, the first time rather forcefully, blacking me out. One should get accustomed to this although it is rather unexpected, however, one learns to control the strike and let the force out from the head in time. The second arousal was better controlled. The locks applied are learned to be not only physical, but also psychological.

Meditation: I latched onto the Naad sound that was coming at low pitch from the right ear. I then tried to identify the same sound emanating at the heart chakra (Anāhata Chakra), but was unsuccessful, thus continued the meditation by deepening the concentration on the Naad sound in the head.

Dream recall: One dream recalled of a neutral nature.

PM Practice: No PM practice due to a social commitment.

To hear naad sound from the heart chakra, one has to be in a particular dimension which is not easy because it is like if you are trying to call a friend and do not have his cell number. So then how many numbers will you call before you accidentally call the correct number.

There are millions of these phone numbers.

Every chakra has a vibrational frequency with its corresponding naad vibration being emanated, all according to the status of the particular chakra.  The best thing is to just do the practice and then take advantage of the infused energy and its resultant elevation of the psyche.

The other thing is that naad sound comes up through sushumna nadi as a blend of the overall status of all the chakra, then it enters the neck through the sushumna and vibrates into the head. If you hear that you hear that and if you do not, then that is okay on any given day.

One way to also get to naad at a particular chakra is to go down through the neck to that chakra while keeping yourself in touch with naad (in dharana or dhyana with naad). So long as you are able to maintain the contact with naad while doing this, it is more likely that it will link with the naad sound which emanates from the chakra of your interest.
