AM Practice

Woke up at 5:00 AM (Brahma-Muhurta). Practice was good overall and lasted 70 minutes.

Svadhyaya: Continued reading “The Life of the Buddha” by Bhikku Namamoli.

Dedication: 10-minute mantra session doing Tratak (eye concentration) on effigy of Lord Shiva using a Maalaa. Practice dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Breath Infusion: 30 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma while doing several asanas. Infusion emphasis was on the lower trunk and then on the feet. Kundalini was solicited twice and raised up sushumna after applying proper locks, it manifested as it has for the last few practices, without impacting the buddhi organ uniquely as before, thus not causing a black out.

Meditation: Consisted of 30 minutes with strict concentration on Naad sound. Naad was very strong coming from both ears and from the back of the head in general. The quality of meditation has improved since lately, as it is becoming easier to tune to Naad and get immersed into it, to the point where there are hints of trance-like state.

Spiritual State of Mind: Continues to be challenged in the subtle realm by the low quality of dreams. Otherwise, during waking hours, the mind, perhaps as a result of the continuing meditation, is less prone to wandering thoughts and when facing negative thinking, is able to swing out of them by rapid use of thought control.

Dream recall: Two dreams recalled very vividly.  The first one was one of my early-life passions, meaning hunting fish, in this case hunting crocodiles, and all the paraphernalia and boats, etc associated with it. The 2nd dream involved my brother, and the fact that we are estranged from each other.
