AM Practice

Woke up at 4:00 AM (Brahma-Muhurta). Practice was standard overall and lasted 65 minutes.

Svadhyaya: Returned to “Meditation Pictorial”, starting Chapter 15.

Dedication: 5-minute mantra session doing Tratak (eye concentration) on effigy of Lord Shiva using a Maalaa. Practice dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Breath Infusion: 30 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma while doing several asanas. Infusion emphasis was on the lower trunk strictly. Infusing breath in the lower trunk. Kundalini was raised twice up sushumna using the kneeling asanas.

Meditation: Consisted of 30 minutes with strict concentration on Naad sound. Naad was very strong coming from the left ear. The quality of meditation was normal.

Spiritual State of Mind: The use of the mantra helps to ward off unwanted thoughts and to control the stress introduced by thoughts of work and work schedule, thus to space out oneself.

Dream recall: One dream recalled vividly.  It was a weird dream that lasted a long time, but I mention it here because it had a spiritual import. In it, I was doing Bhastrika prânâyâma in a seated asana and was given specific instructions by a being that I identified as a deity but could not see his face or know the name. He explained that his role was that of an “enzyme”, meaning as a catalyst, only to propitiate. He asked to do an asana that I know from Hatha Yoga and it is also illustrated in one of MiBeloved’s videos (which I tried this morning), the Sanskrit name was mentioned, but forgotten (I will investigate this later). The purpose of the meditation that followed, I was told, was to know certain important information about the immediate future, by a subtraction, the information was given, but forgotten upon awakening in the middle of the night, before being able to jot down any details.

=============================

PM Practice:

Breath Infusion: 30 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma while doing several asanas. Meditation followed after raising Kundalini, which produced a black out.

Meditation: 30 minutes with strict concentration on Naad sound. Naad was blasting from both ears, with a higher pitch vortex within the sound itself.
