AM Practice

Woke up at 3:00 AM (Brahma-Muhurta). Practice was good overall and lasted approximately 110 minutes.

Svadhyaya: Returned to “Bhagavad Gita Explained”, Chapter 2.

Dedication: 10-minute mantra session and doing Tratak (eye concentration) on effigy of Lord Shiva using a Maalaa.

Breath Infusion: 50 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma while doing several asanas, standing, seating, and floor. Infusion emphasis was on the lower trunk, thighs, and feet. Kundalini was solicited up sushumna thrice.

Meditation: 60 minutes with concentration on naad on back of head. No efforts were made to move from there. Getting acquainted with the naad, and centralizing concentration at its node.

Spiritual State of Mind and Sadhana Planning:

1.    Doing as much Bhastrika prânâyâma as possible.

2.    Continue 2nd Kriya prânâyâma in between the 2 main bhastrika practices (AM and PM) when time permits and observe the effects.

Dream recall: 2 dreams recalled.

===============================

PM Practice consisted of 40 minutes of Bhastrika pranayama in different asanas.

I am in the process of increasing body elasticity by losing weight first, thus I have placed myself on a flaxseed oil/cottage cheese and vegetable juice regime for a while. The flaxseed oil, when pre-mixed with a blender with cottage cheese and left alone for at least 5-10 minutes, produces a phospho-lipo-protein that is easily absorbed by the liver, otherwise the flaxseed oil is mostly rejected and can't affect its beneficial qualities.

I am still going by the Acharya's videos. I wish there were more of them. But many an asana is a variation of Hatha Yoga Pradipika and some I have just invented, or better, they have come to me.

This PM I did 40 minutes of Bhastrika and about 20 minutes of meditation on naad, the latter unfortunately interrupted by family involvements.

Tomorrow I am doing Seva at Hariharananda Guruji's ashram. Will take some pics and post.
