AM Practice
Woke up at 5:00 AM (Brahma-muhurta). Quality of practice was good. It consisted of 80 minutes in a motel room with the air conditioning off and the window open.
Svadhyaya: Returned to study “Meditation Pictorial”, Chapter 11 “Meditation is Required”.
Dedication: Practice dedicated to Lord Shiva after 5-minute mantra (Om Namah Shivaya) incantation.
Breath Infusion: 30 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma. Half the practice was dedicated to the process of clearing the thighs of apana air (CO2), and infusing prana (fresh O2) into them. Towards the end of the practice Kundalini was solicited in earnest and arose forcefully and successfully. Meditation followed immediately.
Meditation: 45 minutes meditation on the back of the head in shavasana (cadaver position = reclining). Most of the meditation consisted of concentration on the area of the back of the head. Naad sound was heard all along. Most of the meditation was conducted to gain ground toward effortless concentration (Dhyana).
