AM Practice

Woke up at 4:30 AM (Brahma-Muhurta). Practice was good and lasted a little over 2 hours.

Svadhyaya: Continued with “Bhagavad Gita Explained”, finished Chapter 2, and started Chapter 3.

Dedication: Session dedicated to Mahadeva, doing Tratak (eye concentration) on effigy of Lord Shiva.

Breath Infusion: 1 hour of Bhastrika prânâyâma while doing several asanas. Breath infusion emphasis was on the lower trunk and thighs. Compression is more spaced-out than the PM practice, less forceful.  Kundalini was solicited up sushumna twice. There is an emphasis in trying to visualize the subtle body internally with eyes closed.

Meditation: 1 hour with concentration on naad on back of head. Activity on the area of 3rd eye in the form of several visions occurred towards the middle of the practice. Naad did not fade away with time as in other AM practices.

Sadhana Planning and Tapasya:

1.  Doing as much Bhastrika prânâyâma as possible.

2.  Diet planning still important: Sattvic, only animal product is cottage cheese.

3.  Continue 2nd Kriya prânâyâma in between the 2 main bhastrika practices (AM and PM) when time permits. Effects of this practice includes steadiness of mind and poise, thus it helps during the Naad meditation.

Dream recall: One dream recalled.

===========================

PM Practice consisted of the, by now, usual suspects...30/30 minutes - Bhastrika/Naad meditation.

Breath infusion in the PM is almost twice stronger than the AM, with very little pause. Emphasis mainly on lower trunk compression. Visual introspection towards the inner subtle body.

Naad was a little strange today, a little subdued, not high-pitched, but more distributed along the back of the head. Its node, as usual, coming from the left. It was tuned to and used as thought-scorcher.
