AM Practice
Woke up at 4:00 AM (Brahma-muhurta). Quality of practice was good. It consisted of 110 minutes in a motel room with the air conditioning off and the window open.
Svadhyaya: Continued studying “Meditation Pictorial”, Chapter 11 “Meditation is Required”.
Dedication: Practice dedicated to Lord Shiva after 5-minute mantra (Om Namah Shivaya) incantation.
Breath Infusion: 45 minutes of Bhastrika prânâyâma. Half the practice was dedicated to the process of clearing the thighs of apana air (CO2), and infusing prana (fresh O2) into them. Towards the end of the practice Kundalini was solicited in earnest and arose forcefully and successfully. Meditation followed immediately.
Meditation: 60 minutes meditation on the back of the head in shavasana (cadaver position = reclining). Most of the meditation consisted of concentration on the area of the back of the head. Naad sound was heard all along. The highlight of the meditation was that the mind was extremely calm, and the area of the 3rd eye, which was already quite active during the breath infusion, yielded to several visions, including a pair of piercing eyes in a form of a ribbon, much like the one displayed on this site.
Dream recall: 1 dream recalled clearly of neutral import.

PM Practice
Practice continued at home was standard overall and lasted 30 minutes.
Svadhyaya: Continued with Chapter 11 “Meditation is Required” from “Meditation Pictorial”.
Breath Infusion: Consisted of a short, compressed, 15-minute Bhastrika prânâyâma practice. Kundalini was successfully solicited at the end of the practice. This is comforting to me; as it shows me that at this early stage in my practice, it does not take me long to accomplish this important task.
Meditation: Consisted of 15 minutes with concentration on the back of the head. Naad sound was strong, mostly coming from the left ear in a vortex. I tuned into it and was soon led effortlessly by it.
