For those who practice forcefully, in a very intense way, the skill of yoga will be achieved very soon.

Jai Shri Krishna

Om Swami Hariharanandaya Namah

Om Yogi Madhvacharya Namah

Last night I had an interesting dream of the type that helps the yoga practice. This was a propitious and welcomed dream, which I wish I would remember more often.

I woke up at 2:30 AM from the dream itself and knew I could not go back to sleep. Nowadays I wake up for yoga practice within the window of 2 to 4 AM, rarely after 4. I always sleep well, often going to bed as early as 7 AM, or if later, catching up with a short nap in the afternoon.

I was exalted, so the pranayama practice was strong for about 45 minutes, mostly Kapalbhati with some inroads into Bhastrika proper. Kundalini force, having been canalized many times before up the spine with specific postures, now goes up without specific solicitation here and there, mainly after standing up from a series of floor exercises.

Meditation followed for over one hour. Mostly Samyama on Naad, as Naad was very strong, so strong that it first was heard like the loud horn of a train from all around the back of the head. It later subsided in intensity a bit, but still remained quite strong coming from both ears. There was nothing out of the ordinary, nor any bout of the type of lesser samadhi that I have been having recently.

Dream: I was in India, and entered an Indian bazaar where I acquired a Sitar. I squatted on the floor and started chanting the Shiva Shadakshara Stotram, which I have known by memory for a while. It goes like this:

ॐकारं बिन्दु संयुक्तं

नित्यं ध्यायन्ति योगिनः

कामदं मोक्षदं चैव

ॐकाराय नमो नमः

Omkaaram Bindu Samyuktam

Nityam Dhyaayanti Yoginah |

Kaamadam Mokssadam Caiva

Omkaaraaya Namo Namah ||

Meaning:

Om, which is united with the Source,

On which the Yogis ever dwell,

Which grants desires and liberation,

I salute the Omkaram.

This Omkaram is Naad. The dream went on for quite a while. Soon I had an audience of several Langur monkeys, which represent Hanuman in India, like those on the picture below I took on Arunachala Hill. Since I do not play the Sitar in this life, this could be an indication of a previously-acquired skill.

This is a very meaningful experience of your past life skill in India, manifesting through your subtle body, which means that somehow your stockpile of memory from the last life has opened.

Thank you Acharya Ji, Swami Ji!

It is with a great sense of gratitude that I bow at your feet.

I rejoice in having found you at the afternoon of this life. Many thanks for teaching me this Kundalini yoga.

Alfredo Ji!  Well done.

And thank you for the added dimension you bring to this Forum.

You have the proper attitude towards the practice and the teacher and are one-pointed in your efforts, setting an example we may strive to follow.  You are showing what is required and what happens when practice culminates.

More progress is certainly on the horizon for you and I look forward to what more you will be sharing.

Keep the steady intensity going!
