For those who practice forcefully, in a very intense way, the skill of yoga will be achieved very soon.
Jai Shri Krishna
Om Yogi Madhvacharya Namah
Woke up for yoga practice early as usual (Brahma-Muhurta).
During breath infusion for approximately 40 minutes emphasis was placed, as usual, on the accumulation of breath in the navel to spark and awaken Kundalini. Kundalini, which is said to be coiled (Kundala) three and a half turns around muladhara chakra, will answer when the air or Prana, which has a positive charge, by an action of will hits the negatively-charged navel (Apana-Prana), resulting in an arousal of energy and light. If the proper locks are applied, much like when water under pressure ascends through a garden hose, Kundalini will try to bore open Sushumna nadi, and if successful all the way, will rush to the end of Sushumna at the Sahasrara, right below the fontanel in the head, where Sushumna, Ida and Pingala meet and end, discharging its charge and thus enlivening the area of the fontanel (Brahmarandra). Pranayama (specially Bhastrika and/or Kapalbhati) and Satkarma or body cleansing are practiced to promote this outcome.
This event described above (also termed the ascend of Prana or Pranotthana) is one of 2 main awakenings of Kundalini, the first one that the yogi is charged with, which might take years of practice before settling in the 2nd, and more permanent, awakening. While the first one is akin to turning on the light and activating all appliances in a room, then turning the lights off, the 2nd and permanent one is like turning the same light and leaving the lights and appliances on for good. This is the objective.
Meditation followed breath infusion for one hour. It was divided into basically 2 halves, with the first half hour used for conducting samyama on Naad at the back of the head; and the second half for doing the same on Muladhara Chakra. On this second half, a will is effected on the chakra itself until a tingling or reverberation is felt in the area of the chakra, then visualization is promoted until shades of light appear in the area of Ajna chakra, the objective being a red ball of light, which was accomplished momentarily today.
It is in the practice of Samyama where the yogi finally makes or breaks, for without mastering samyama, there is no chance of going further into the elucidation of the subtle body and the chakras. Samyama is like the magnifying glass of Sherlock Holmes.
