In India, we have a colloquial term "Mannu paiyan" that means "Mud boy". 

We use it to mock people with dumb intelligence like mud or sand. In a way, we attributed stupidness to mud. 

The potential of intelligence has always been in the mud, only the humans could not see until recently.

How silicon from sand is converted into super intelligence by as adding few molecules to it and drive the entire human race forward.
