Portents of death

Portents of death come to every living being but usually one is unable in interpret these, due to a lack of vigilance of what takes place in the astral body and on the psychic side of life.
Last night in the astral world I met with a person who was a school friend and who I have not seen, even astrally for some 30 plus years. Suddenly I was on an astral level and this person who was a high school friend, was asking me about some clothing. He used to be very particular about how his clothing looked, how his hair was styled and that sort of thing.
Now after so many years, he has not changed an inch. He has not acquired any psychic understanding and any sense of the fact that social status in the material world has absolutely zero spiritual value.
Our meeting though is a portend of death for both of us in the sense that when the body gets older, the astral body tries to reestablish connections from youth in order to prepare for the next rebirth. Just as there are school reunions where people meet their school friends and hash over details from their youth, there are also astral meets of a similar nature which take place between astral bodies which took birth in the same generation or era.
If one’s body is over 55 years of age, one will have these astral meets and one can know for sure, that these are portends of death of the physical form, with the astral form trying to recap what took place over the years and find its placement for a new body somehow or the other.
The astral bodies of childhood friends meet up and try to plan to come back into the world, to take new positions as new rebellious youths again, to overthrow the status quo which was set up by one’s children and grand children.

During the night I also met with some ladies who used to attend a Hindu temple in Guyana some years ago. They wanted to discuss their future. These are people who believe in reincarnation because they grew up in a Hindu religious atmosphere, where reincarnation is taken for granted.
Since I used to speak of it now and again at a temple, these ladies wanted to discuss their next move with me. There was not much I could tell them because modern Hindu temple rituals are not enough to do anything for anybody in terms of going to higher dimensions.
Seeing that I was unwilling to give them any assurance about any bright lights in their astral or physical future, one of the ladies said this, “Well maybe if we did yoga, we would control our next birth or go to paradise.”
It was a question stated like a declaration. I did not answer.
Then another lady said this, “It depends on who one has as a husband. Some of these men have no spiritual understanding whatsoever. One would have a better chance if one has an enlightened husband.”
To that statement I also made no remark.
After a little while, I told them this, “If you need help after leaving the body, let me know. This much I can say, that I will be available. You will be able to reach me. The least I can do is to help you select the best possible opportunity in your next birth. As far as yoga is concerned, if you do not have the aptitude for it, if you do not have the motivation to do it, then that is out, so do not even pass that through your mind. The rituals you performed at the temple have value in that these will help to get you into a family which upholds some moral values and that is important especially for a female body. Salvation is a long way off. So do not put your mind on that. The main thing is a good birth opportunity.”
After that one of the ladies looked at me a long hard look as if I was obligated to help them. Then their astral bodies left.
Am I obligated? That is the question. In so far as I represent the deities they used to honor at the temple, I have some obligation but it is not that I am tied down to that. The deities can work through another agent.
What about personal karma with one or more of those ladies? Well even that can be worked out without my presence, because in my case karma or energy of association can be divested in material nature and can be transferred or possessed by others. As a yogi I am not hung up on these association energies.
People usually pin themselves down in a possessive mode without understanding that they are tools of providence, paltry servants of fate, and due to that misunderstanding theiy get into warped destinies and cannot take an opportunity to leave these entanglements but a yogi who adheres to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, does not have to be like that.
