Last night in the astral world, I found myself in a dimension with Kirtanananda Swami and some of his followers in an astral place parallel to New Vrindvana. The swami was fussing about as usual but he was not in his happy mood as in the days before he was arrested and imprisoned.
This Swami is now deceased but his problems are there in the astral world just as they were in the physical existence before he left his body.
He had a very troubled look on his face and was concerned about all the things which went awry during his last years as an Acharya in the Hare Krishna Movement.
I decided to stay out of his way, and he was busy with everyone doing this and doing that as it used to be at New Vrindavana in its heyday.
After a bit he called me to him, but before that he was walking where I stood and then he turned to me and sat down. I went to him, as I usually did when I lived in the ashram. His look was one of complete puzzlement. Then he got up and pulled about three rolls of paper from the top of cupboard.
These rolls were there for some time. There were manuscripts of books which I wrote years ago and gave him for approval. The disciplic system is that you cannot publish anything unless one gets approval from the spiritual master in residence. That meant that I could not publish anything. In some of the lineages you cannot publish anything anyway so long as your guru is alive only he can publish.
Kirtanananda looked at the manuscripts and because it was in the astral existence, he could know what was in them just by holding them. He handed them to me and said,
“Go ahead! Publish these. Prabhupada’s language structure will be a little outdated now with the advent of the Internet. I don’t see anything wrong in your stuff. I am sorry that I could not look at these earlier or I would have permitted them earlier.”
He handed me the three manuscripts. Then I noticed that a devotee named Sudhanu was looking at the Swami when he handed me these manuscripts.
Fact is that I have already published most of what I was to publish using this body. It is done already. Kirtanananda actually felt that he was over me in this and that I had to wait until he completed his mission before I could publish anything or be a spiritual instructor of any value. This is the attitude in the Hare Krishna Movement as imparted by the Founder of the Society, Srila Prabhupada. Kirtanananda cannot be blamed about it, because it is the method of the sampradaya.
While this happened, off in the distance was Bhaktitirtha Swami who is also deceased. He was aware of what Kirtanananda did with the manuscrjipts. Never a person to be upstaged, Bhaktitirtha was aware of my books and had read many secretly and was using the information in his preaching sermons. He remained tied down under the lineage rules because his desire for authority in the system could only be fulfilled if he toed the line.
After this happened and I left that astral place, I was transiting to another astral place, when I saw the Ganesh deity. He smiled because Kirtanananda has released the resentment energy he had towards me.
So long as one is in these astral domains one becomes a target for resentment energies and so a yogi is relieved when these are lifted. Unknown to himself, Kirtanananda is being watched carefully by the Vedic sub-deities.
