Past Lives Skills Brought Over into the Present Life

Transposing knowledge and skill from a past life into this life, only works easily if the cultural of the society remained the same from the time of the past birth into the present. Currently cultures go through rapid change due to technological innovations which force changes into society and jump over the heads of many persons who are unable to keep up with the educational input required to stay abreast with the developments. So it will become more and more difficult to transpose skills from past lives.
I can give a practical example. In this life I write books but previously I used to either write on palm leaves or memorize history and other types of information. But in this life when I tried to transpose the skill I had some difficulty because the languages I used before were constructed in a totally different way to modern languages like English.
Even though I had a well developed language skill from many past lives, still it was not easy to transpose the skill. In fact, I had to suppress the skill in order to force myself to submit to language training which suited the format of English arrangement.
This might sound easy but it was not. In English the thought construction is completely different to say another language which uses action as the last part of sentence construction. In English, the thought begins with a subject and then with the action of the subject and then with the object which the subject is focused on. In some other ancient language, the thought may begin with the subject then shift to the object and then shift to the action which occurs between the two.
In English one sees the changes of the subject’s behavior as something separate to the object and in some other ancient languages, such changes are considered to be unified with the object. In other words in English we think that the dog runs down the road, while is some ancient languages the dog with a movement into the road runs. In those ancient languages the movement into the road by the dog is embedded into the road and the word road is changed to show that, while in English the word road never changes and all references to it remain separate. Thus there is no way to easily transpose such ancient language skills into the modern Latin based languages like English.
Many ancient languages were developed under compression for the purpose of helping in memorizing because there was no paper or screen medium. Modern language which developed side by side with paper and screen are totally different.
A change in language is not just a matter of translation, it might be a matter of a complete overhaul of the thought pattern construction.
Some people feel that I am good at language and they sometimes praise that but little do they know that I failed the University of London “O” level exam. That is the basic university level English. I developed mastery of English by reading hundreds of books of English by authors who knew the language and played the English grammar game the way it is supposed to be written. I also studied the layout of English grammar and syntax on my own. I had to submit to learning. I had to change my way of thinking and expressing over time.
Silently, as a student of many invisible teachers I studied the language over many years and got some proficiency in it. My skills developed in the past life actually worked against me in this life because the language used now is constructed in a totally different way which was hostile to the old skills developed in past lives.
However the only thing perhaps which helped me was that I had the tendency to use language in the past life and also I have a desire from the past to explain spiritual disciplines and the spiritual environments. Those two factors worked in my interest to motivate me to learn, even on my own since I could not afford either the time or money to learn at a university.
If providence has said, “Here is the money. Pay for formal training. Here is the time. Spend four years in a university.” I would have taken it. But that did not happen. When I was to go to Southampton University in Britain and when I qualified for entry, the father of this body, lost his employment and the funds for the trip and enrollment disappeared.
From then on, providence had the attitude of, “If you have to gain proficiency in language you can do so in your spare time, or you can just not do it at all.” Because I felt a need to describe spiritual experiences and to explain what I was doing on the psychic level, I began writing. My first book which was to be a small novel about astral projection, turned out to be one and one-half sheets of hand-written information. That was the whole book and a very rude awakening about the difference between an idea of a book and an actual novel.
After that humiliating experience, I lowered my expectations and then required of myself only to write decent poetry. But I found that people got wrapped up in the sound of the poetry and did not pay attention to the contents, therefore I again was confronted with the deficiency to express what I wanted to say in prose English. I then began reading avidly, books by historians and other language disciplinarians, so that I could learn from them the proper way to express English. And that is how I learned to write over time. This began in 1969.
I still desire to read literature of persons who mastered English and I greatly appreciate writers who do as I can recognize their austerity and I do not take their skill for granted but these days, I spend more time writing, publishing and making digital files of books already written, than I do reading. Time more or less has me in a corner with a pistol pressed to my head to remind me that within a short period, the trigger will be pulled and my body will no longer be useful for communication on this level.
Usually you will find that a person who is proficient in two languages, is actually mediocre in both of those languages. This is because the mind is a one-track type of psychic computer and so if it has to split its interest into two aspect of the same thing, both of those aspects suffer. There are many limitations in the psyche of a human being and the faster one understands this, the better one will be.
