Non-sensational Meditation

Meditation this morning did not have any sensational aspects to it, but that does not mean that it was not a good session. One has to realize and even train the self not to expect the sensational but to do meditation as a service to senior yogis. When one feels accountable to senior yogis, that is when one is assured of continuing on the path to full success.

There is a community of yogis. It is always like that. One has to fit into the community and feel family-ish about the practice.

During the Bhagavad Gita discourse, Krishna explained how endearing Arjuna was to him. The Sanskrit word is bhakti, which means devoted. Later on in the Anu Gita when Arjuna admitted that he was out of touch with the realization and revelation of the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna expressed disappointment and even disgust with Arjuna’s lackadaisical attitude.

In the Anu Gita (1.9-10), Krishna said this:

श्रानलतस्त्व भमा गजह्य सानऩतश्च वनातनभ्

धभं स्वरूनऩण ऩाथु वलुरोका श्च ळाश्वतान्

śrāvitastva mayā guhya jñāpitaśca sanātanam

dharma svarūpia pārtha sarvalokāśca śāśvatān (1.9)

śrāvitas = śrāvitah = revealed, proclaimed; tva - you; mayā – by me; guhya - hidden reality; jñāpitaś = jñāpitah = what is known; ca – and; sanātanam – perpetual principle; dharma - righteous duty; svarūpia - of the actual format, form; pārtha – son of PÃthÀ; sarvalokāś = sarvalokān = all dimensions; ca – and; śāśvatān – eternal reality

O son of Pŗthā, what was revealed to you by me is the unmanifest perpetual principle, the actual format of righteous duty, all the dimensions and the eternal reality.

अफजद्ध्वा मन्न गृह्णीथास्तन्मे वजभशदनप्रमभ्

नूनभश्रद्दधानोऽनव दुभेधाश्चानव ऩाण्डल

abuddhvā yanna ghīthāstanme sumahadapriyam

nūnamaśraddadhāno'si durmedhāścāsi pāṇḍava (1.10)

abuddhvā – loss of awareness; yan = yat = that, what; na – no, not; ghīthās = ghīthāh = loss of dimensional contact; tan = tat = that; me – to me; sumahad = sumahat = very, enormous; apriyam - not dear, disagreeable; nūnam – indeed; aśraddadhāno'si = aśraddadhānah (loss of confidence) + 'si (asi) (you are); durmedhāścāsi = durmedhāh (person with a degraded mind) + ca (and) + si (asi) (you are); pāṇḍava - O son of Paṇḍu

Your loss of awareness and loss of dimensional contact with that is really disagreeable to me. Indeed, you are a person with a degraded mind. You are faithless, O son of Paņu.

So much for lovey dovey gurus.

First when I sat to meditate there was a thought bundle. This is a psychic package of energy which has many thought issues as its content. I observed it and just by doing that, I knew what it contained. It is like when you are expecting but not wanting a certain package from a certain person who sent it by express mail. Then when the postman knocks at the door you peek out and see that express mark on the box and you pretend that you are not home.

So the mailman takes it back to his trunk and drives off. The matter is not finished, he will return.

Just after observing that, I noticed naad sound in the back. This is my reference point at this stage in mediation practice after years. Naad sound is my anchor. Once I got hold of that (not merged, more like linked myself to or caught hold of) I settled to find naad light which is a gold glow energy in a certain level of meditation. With that naad light, all the thought energies are no longer existence, not because they are not existing but because I am no longer in their territory.

They will wait until I return, like when the FBI waits for a fugitive to re-enter the country.

I remained in naad light for some time, a sort of elementary samadhi practice. Then when I looked forward there were pads of white dense energy at the brow chakra. These were like lit-up clouds of frosty energy. These moved in and out of the third eye area. I did not focus too sharply on this because one of my yoga gurus instructed that this should only be a mild focus, like the soft finger of a woman’s touch.
