At first I hesitated to post this because I noticed that the note written by the Mother at that time reads: One thing you can be sure - your future is in your hands. This is apparently contrary to your ideas,  from what I learned from your writings...what say you?

This might apply to a specific individual whom nature endowed with specific potential for the accomplishments indicated.

But all the same if it goes to anyone's head, then it might be a false expectation.

Even God cannot come down make the sun rise from West, what to speak of anyone else making declarations of that order.

After Dwaraka was destroyed by an earthquake, Arjuna and Daruka (not sure who it was) were taking the aristocratic women folk of the city to a safe place. But on the journey they were attacked by aborigines who seized the women and took them away.

Arjuna, even though he had a firm resolution to protect those ladies, began to cry out. He made it back to Hastinapura and when he got there, everybody noticed that he was acting in a very strange way. He was not his usual self.

Then Yudhishthira spoke to Arjuna asking what happened, as to why Arjuna was so pale and deject.

Then arjuna said that his power had diminished. That even his bow did not function as before.

This means that statements about fulfilling aspirations need be taken with a grain of salt.

The other thing we should bear in mind, is that the person whom the Mother addressed was needing her pronouncement and expression of confidence, which in itself tells us that it did not depend on just that person's aspirations. That person had to be supported by someone on her level, for the aspirations to manifest in real terms.

It is a way of encouraging others to do their very best, but if it goes to someone’s head, if one takes it seriously, it will cause ruination for sure.

It is not a good idea to take providence for granted, nor to feel that it will serve one’s needs always. Providence is very tricky.

The goddess of fortune is described as being cancala, which means fickle, moody. She will marry you, yes. She will make your life rosy, for sure. She will scratch your back and rub your feet, definitely. But she will also abandon you at a later date. Then what?

When Hitler first attacked Poland and then the Soviet Union, all his aspirations were being fulfilled. Back in Germany, it was all smiles because of the constant ringing of the phone with news of victory.

But then when the fall weather set it, the fortunes turned their back on Hitler, whom they supported fully up to that point.

Only a fool thinks that he can manhandle providence.

But when providence helps, then okay but always have a drill going with plan B, so that when providence leaves you aside, which it will definitely do, you have something to fall back on.
