Naad Spread

One system of naad meditation which is not written about is the naad spread, where naad sound is spread in every part of the individual’s psyche. Naad sound is usually heard in the head of the subtle body, in the back part of it, either on the right, left or central back part, depending on the sensitivity of the hearing sense in the subtle body.
Recommendations from Lord Krishna and from Patanjali suggest that naad should be heard in the sushumna nadi central spinal passage in the subtle body, which is like the main smoke stack in a building or on a large ocean-going ship. Krishna proposed that a yogi mix the naad sound which is heard in the head with the one which is heard from down in the sushumna central passage.
That is about all the instruction one will receive from the yogic texts about naad. Sri Sant Kirpal Singh must be given the credit for stressing the hearing of naad in meditation. He suggested the complete yielding to naad sound current.
Recently I was advised to take a second look at naad meditation and to really get into it seriously for the purpose of reaching the chit akash. The reason for this instruction is this:
Naad sound is part of the chit akash. It is an audio aspect of it. The main interest we have in the chit akash is visual. This is because we came out in the material world and have somehow got visual perception here. How did that happen?
Right now no one can explain that. Even science is baffled at how that happened even though they explain that whatever we see is actually a photo imprint created by the brain on the basis of what sensual data the retina collects from light which penetrates and flashes on it.
Religion has an explanation but in modern times, people are not concerned with that because they want scientific data.
Irrespective of the imprint on the retina and brain formation reality, we are still left with a need for visuals in the chit akash. It is the quest to find a super-subtle environment, a supernatural or a spiritual location, to migrate to. Who wants to really stay on in the material world forever?
The view of those who cherish the idea of Oneness does not take into account the perpetual need for an environment. Therefore the Oneness craze is an incomplete idealism. There must be considerations of an environment. It must accommodate the individual’s existence harmoniously, otherwise it is a scrappy reactionary concept.

Sri Lahiri gave me the assignment of moving the naad sound everywhere in the psyche so that the sound of naad resounds even in the finger tips and toes of the subtle body.
If naad is only heard in the head, and if for more advanced students, it is heard in the head and in the sushumna passage as described by Lord Krishna to Uddhava, then how can the student cause it to be heard in every part of the subtle body.
What would be the effect of that? Would that cause visuals in the chit akash?
You can take it from me that there are visuals in the chit akash. I saw them repeatedly. Here however we are focusing on permanent ongoing, not just flash perceptions of such visuals. Even Siddha Swami Muktananda reported on seeing a blue divine boy (blue pearl) in the chit akash. Was that for real or not? Actually who cares if it was scientifically real or not, because in the material world, those who talk about real are themselves enjoying the visuals what they posit as being unreal. They too have the need for visuals. Not one scientist, not one person who wants to abolish this variety, has taken an operation to remove the eyes of the physical body, so as to rid themselves of physical visuals.
