Naad Sound - Chit-akasha Light

I had some more success with naad spread this morning in meditation and also with light from chit akash. During the session, there was light of chit akash which began as a golden glow of light. There were a few flashes of visions in the third eye. These perceptions are more sensation than the chit akash situational light but they are not as an advanced. In some cases, sensational experiences are lower than the very abstract ones. However there is a tendency in the psyche where it craves the sensational ones and is deterred from the abstract advanced ones. A student has to overcome this problem in time or remain on a lower level chasing what pleases his or her little mind.

Once established in naad sound, the student should move from that into chit akash light within the psyche itself, (not seeing chit akash outside the psyche through the third eye or through the buddhi analytic orb). At first one has to adhere to naad and settle in there like when a person reaches home after a long tiring journey.

After drawing curtains across windows to keep out light, the traveler quietly gets into bed. He pulls over the blanket and falls asleep as if he would never wake up again. His interest in everything shuts down completely and his mind draws a blank.

Once you enter naad and adhere to it, check to see if you have any other interest. If you do, this meditation won’t progress any further. When you enter naad there should be a complete shutdown of everything else. No other interest should be present, or should be remembered. It should be like you are existing in naad for the first time, like a newborn baby which was just born just a few moments before. It has no memory of anything. Everything seems new to it. It has no reference to the past, no interest, nothing.

Just after this when one feels that the only things in existence are the core-self and naad (and perhaps an advance yoga-guru in the astral distance), one should check in the forward direction and should find that the senses are shut down like when a busy market is closed for the weekend. No vendors are about. The stalls are boarded up. The place is disappointing. There is no one to talk to, no product to purchase, nothing. The place turned its back on you. You feel odd being there like something which is not right.

Once you find that the senses are shut down, then this next step is really important: I got this kriya from Lahiri Dada, one of the old yogi-fathers. I have to really think about this. He transmitted this not as a verbal explanation but as an inside procedure which my psyche was programmed to act out. By observing what my psyche did I can tell you the procedure?

Right after one notices that the senses are shut down, that the need for sensation is just not there, then one should simply decide to look within the transcendental chamber which one is in with naad. This looking is done without the usual visual interest energy.

The visual interest is not present because the senses were shut down. Instead one will find that as one tries to look within the transcendental chamber, there will be a glow of gold light inside the chamber which does not in any way connect with the visual interest energy and has no interest in the astral existence outside of the chamber. One should settle down with this glow light and remain with it, without making any demands whatsoever.
