Naad Meditation / Visual Interest Subdued

The visual interest is very important in the pratyahar practice. This interest is very troublesome for a yogi. Unless it is pulled in, retracted completely, there cannot be success with introspection. Of course superficial introspection is sufficient for the average meditator but it will not do in the advanced stages of kriya practice. The self-dishonesty which is inherent and which is acceptable in random meditation practice just won’t do for advance kriya systems. All of that must be thrown in the trash can with other abandoned meditation farces.
In the chapter one of the Meditation Pictorial book I laid out a process which I used, in fact which I pioneered for completing pratyahar sensual interest energy withdrawal. This particular meditation took me some 16 years to perfect. It can be done in 6 years for the least if one is isolated and have the proper directions from an advanced teacher. Unfortunately that is the end of pratyahar practice. Each of the 8 process of yoga, feed into the next but with a reserve of incompletion, which means that once you complete one stage and move into the next higher stage, you will have to return to the lower stage when you discover that even though it was completed on a certain level of the practice, it was not even brushed on a higher plane where its application must be completed before one can move on.
If you are reading this and you are lost for meaning, if you are reading this and this puts your mind into revolt, then just leave this aside at this point.
Once the sensually energies are sufficiently contained in the psyche and once they no longer course out of the psyche with great force into the external material world and even into the external astral dimensions, then only a part of the pratyahar practice is complete.
Everyone of the sense is troublesome and wants to find particular objects out there to enjoy but once they are retracted by sensual energy withdrawal in meditation, once they are sufficiently weaned from their pursuits, then they develop themselves in the psyche with potency. What is designed to escape will escape. It is just a matter of when and where.
If you take Naad practice sincerely and develop that, it will provide an ease on the hearing sense. Naad practice begins with fulfillments for the hearing sense even though some students find it to be a boring hearing object. If you practice naad hearing long enough and if you can add pranayama practice in just before you meditate on naad, then it will be an enriching hearing experience. It will give satisfaction. It will become like when a lover hears the beloved and gets fulfillment not from the meaning of the words, but just from the sweet sounds of the voice itself.
Naad sound also helps with the touching sense. If one gets deep into naad, there will come a time when one will find that one is touching naad. It is a soft and tender touch like that of woman’s breast. Naad also has a firm touch like that of a muscular man. This happens when one touches it vibrations. Naad also has a vision aspect where one begins to see its vibration, its nodes and vortexes. Someone when one looks into naad one see its infinite deepness.
While meditating this morning I brought naad to the frontal part of the head, an area where it is usually conspicuous by its absent. Naad is usually on the right side back, left side back, or middle back of the head. It can move around. The student can cause it to move from one location and feed into another but that ability comes when the student has wholly and solely given himself or herself over to naad.
The default position of the core-self is in the center of the head of the subtle body. This is an existential center not a measured geometrical one. From there the core self can pull naad sound to the front of the head, causing it to pass on the right and left of the core self and also through the core self.
When this happens, the core-self’s aura (the immediate energy which emanates from it) feels like a cloud of gelled energy of a white grey consistency.
Doing this one has to be on the lookout for the visual interest because it tries to protrude from the aura of the core self. This visual interest should be restrained. If the yogi fails to restrain it, the naad sound will retreat to the back. The yogi will not be able to hold the naad sound in the frontal part of the subtle head.
For success in this practice, the yogi should by all means cause the frontal part of the head to be absolutely devoid of thoughts, images and ideas. This is done by doing pranayama practice and infusing energy first into the trunk of the subtle body and then putting in so much of it that it overflows through the neck into the head.
This infusion causes the shutdown of the buddhi intellect orb which is the psychic organ which is involved with thoughts, images and ideas. If this organ is shut down then none of the images and mental fidgeting will take place.
Thus when naad sound is brought into the frontal part of the subtle head, it flows in there like water gushing in an empty tank. It enters a hollow space.
