Mystic Visual Perceptions

The various mystic visual perceptions are not easy to define. In fact they are usually confused because of a lack of familiarity with subtle perception and too much of an absorption with physical sight, mental imagination and thinking.
There is also the factor of doubt, where a person developed a mistrust of subtle perception but this is usually occurring because of a former addiction to visualization and imagination.
Because of overdosing on visualization and imagination, one gains mistrust for subtle perception. One becomes a skeptic and begins to formulate the idea that all subtle perception is either a deliberate visualization or a random imagination. This is to be regretted.
Patanjali Mahayogin suggested in his second sutra about yoga, that one should shut down imagination once and for all. He lists five operations of the analytical part of the mind which are correct analysis, incorrect analysis, imagination, sleep and memory. Imagination includes visualization. His suggestion is that these operations should be terminated.
If I do not trust my intuition, if I do not trust my mind’s ability to sort what is imagination and what is fact, then there is no reason why I would trust anyone else’s. And that leaves me with a disadvantage, because even if I meet someone who has an accurate intuitive and vivid true mystic perception, I will harbor doubts and that will prevent me from benefiting from that person’s experience.
Humanity has advanced in science because of having confidence in previous scientists. It has built upon the work of previous genius, even those who made mistakes and stated some erroneous concepts. In meditation practice if there is no posterity to build on, how will there be leaps forward through the very subtle mystic terrains. If there is no confidence how will humanity consolidate on the experience of previous mystics?

Here I will list the various types of mystic perception which I experienced while using this present body. There may be others for sure, but these are the ones which I experienced:

Intellect psychic organ |
|
Two-eye subtle |
Eyes of subtle body |
|
Third eye univision |
Brow chakra of subtle body |
|

|
Crown Chakra omni vision |
Crown chakra of Subtle body |
|
Kundalini feeling vision |
Energized Kundalini |
|
Subtle energy (Prana) vision |

|
Sense of identity uni/omnivision |

|
Core-self omnivision |
Core-self |
There is a problem differentiating these types of visions. Usually people just lump these all as mystic or spiritual visions with no sorting of the various types and with no understanding of the various adjuncts which are involved in each.
In advanced meditation one should begin to sort these. For instance two-eye subtle vision is like physical vision because two eyes are involved, while third eye subtle vision is different because it involves only one aperture for vision.
The more important thing to observe is the location of these visions. For instance, in the physical body, vision occurs through two orifices which are located only in the head of the body. These orifices have a definite location which is not changed at any time. Even the image which the person sees in the mind as a result of the operation of the physical eyes, occurs in the brain space in a certain location. Recently science has identified the parts of the brain which are involved in processing the vision information which comes into the retina.
Thus if one can identify the location of a vision, one can also identity what type of vision it is and can tell which psychic organ one used to perceive it.
