My family

Last night astrally I discussed family karma with a friend who is bogged down by this. In the first place the correct Sanskrit word is phalam (pronounced with a p sound and not an f found as in English) Phalam means consequence. Karma means the act which resulted in a consequence.
There are consequences coming to a family because of its collective actions but ultimately one has to understand that nature will partition out the consequences and dole them out to the individuals concerned even if the same nature separates the family members from one another.
Four brothers robbed a bank together but one was shot during the robbery. His three brothers had to escape and leave him behind. The police took the wounded brother to a hospital where he was treated and then charged for his part in the robbery.
Here we see that one out of the four was separated by fate and dealt with immediately after the robbery. Even though four of them participated, still providence peeled off one brother from the unity of the family, and served that brother consequences.
The other three brothers made it out of the state into another state, where they caught a special charter flight to another country. During the flight, the eldest of the brothers who was a hard drinker, drank a bottle of vodka. He was very fond of the brother who was left behind. His conscience was ruthlessly tormenting him. He did not know if his brother died or if he was in custody. He drank that liquor and it caused a heart attack. He died during the flight.
Seeing his dead body in the aircraft, the two remaining free brothers, decided to cast his body out while the aircraft was over the ocean. It was a very dishonorable thing to do but they had no choice. After speaking to the pilot of the aircraft who explained that in the other country, they would have to declare his dead body since the plane would be searched and then there will be questions and inquiries.
Soon after this they said some religious prayer over the dead eldest brother and pushed his body out of the aircraft. They then fell asleep. These two brothers were exhausted. During that sleep they were tormented with dreams of police arresting them for the crimes. One of them hunched over during the dream session as he experienced being shot by a policemen in the dream. He woke up in a cold sweat.
Soon after this, the pilot announced that they were to land in about 30 minutes. They prepared themselves to leave the aircraft. After landing they showed their papers which were acquired by corrupt means. Everything went well with the immigration agents.
The next thing was to go through customs. As they were going through customs, one of the brothers was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. The other brother was allowed to enter the country. This freed brother now panicked. He got the feeling that he would be arrested and extradited back to his homeland where he was wanted for a bank robbery and possibly would be charged in the killing of a bank clerk.
He decided to leave the country and fly to another country.
So when one acts in a family one cannot be sure that one will stay in the family. At least when the physical body dies, one might be moved into another family. Then what will one do? How will one cash in on the good acts one performed in the previous family?
It makes sense to be attached to family members if one can guarantee that one will keep returning in the same family in every life but if that can be upset by fate, then the whole scheme needs some reconsideration.
What is fate? What is that power that changes circumstances and upsets the plans of mice and great men? Are we servants of fate? Instead of trying to be loyal to a family should we aspire to be loyal to fate?
