Good Morning!

Yesterday night I was quite tired and slept long hours. Woke up late at 6 AM.

I have been using the Neti pot to cleanse the nostril before breath infusion and it helps greatly, especially if you have one nostril blocked.

Breath Infusion: Did 45 minutes Bhastrika in different postures pumping air into navel and below and keeping the locks on, and after that started the specific postures designed for raising Kundalini. Results came fast, first in the form of a few partial arousals, and then, when finally doing for the first time the standing posture with the belly, lower-back, anus, and neck, locks, Kundalini struck forcefully and I could actually follow its course up the Sushumna (spinal cord) and into the head. The body fell to its knees and because I was consciously aware of that possibility I could arrest a full fall by kneeling and holding with my hands in front. For about 20 seconds I could see everything but was totally out of it, an interesting state of being, the instruments are there, but the witness is totally absent. The key to regulate this, seems to be the neck and belly locks, so as to give space for Kundalini to escape, for if you keep the locks tight after it enters the head, you can fall big time.

Meditation: Went into meditation right away. Pressed eyes and released and concentrated on the 3rd eye and its lights.

Later traced the Naad sound towards the right eye and stayed there.

Dreams: 2 dreams were recorded and remembered. I am now in the process of studying the techniques of astral projection, reading an interesting free e-book recommended by Jettins.

I am amazed at the progress you have made just in a matter of a few weeks.

This statement is correct:

The key to regulate this, seems to be the neck and belly locks, so as to give space for Kundalini to escape, for if you keep the locks tight after it enters the head, you can fall big time.

However, another thing is that if you master the neck lock especially, you can use it like a valve to only release so much of kundalini into the head at a time. In that way kundalini will not enter like a mad bull and batter-ram the buddhi organ which will put the witness as you call it out of commission where the instruments are there but the witness cannot use them.

There is another little trick which you should keep in the back of your mind and that is that the kundalini was originally given to the atmas in a matching way. Look at this very technical statement from Bhagavad Gita:

भभैलाॊळो जीलरोके

जीलबूत् वनातन्

भन्ऴिानीकिमाकण

प्रकृकतिाकन कऴमकत१५.

mamaivāśo jīvaloke

jīvabhūta sanātana

manaḥṣaṣṭhānīndriyāi

praktisthāni karati (15.7)

mamaivāśa = mama — my + eva — indeed + aśa — partner; jăvaloke = jăva — individualized conditioned being + loke — in the world; jăvabhūta — individual soul; sanātana — eternal; mana — mind; aṣṭhānindriyāi = saṣṭhāni — sixth + indriyāi — sense, detection device; praktisthāni — mundane; karati — draws

My partner is in this world of individualized conditioned beings. He is an eternal individual soul but he draws to himself the mundane senses of which the mind is the sixth detection device. (Bhagavad Gita 15.7)

This is a vital verse to understand our existential predicament and it get rids of all the nonsense about oneness, and absoluteness. It is like seeing what was happening to me when I was in my mother’s womb where my big mouth was filled with amniotic fluid.

Pay attention to the Sanskrit word karati.

So in that primeval situation how did the entity get a matching energy from material nature which formed into a psyche which was experienced as a subtle body with senses?

What I am driving at here is that the kundalini is the exact match for the entity. It was attracted to the entity as a match, a perfect match but not to the head of the subtle body, or even to the core self in the psyche. It was a match for the entire system. This means that the kundalini is such that if it is focused on just one part of the system there will be problems.

That energy is needed to be distributed through the whole system.

A man gets a salary for the maintenance of his family but he goes to a casino and uses up the income there or he goes to a hotel and uses the money for sex excitement. So that will cause problems.

Kundalini should be distributed through the whole psyche not just through the head of it. Of course first you have to identify it, and then control it and then you can see about how to distribute it.

Normally kundalini is a sex junkie and so it saves up most of its salary to use for sex excitement. So initially in the practice, a yogi also has to act in that type of way to get high on it in the head. But as one matures in practice all that changes and one learns how to distribute it all over the psyche

Shalom brother!

I also wish you the very best.

How much would I give to have your age and be aware of this path! For that you are very blessed, and I hope you understand that. For at your age I was into more mundane pursuits. But it is never too late for Yoga and holiness.

As for the "experience", I believe this is kind of a mathematical thing. I really don't know if the strict diet that I am into contributed to the purification of the subtle body and its nadis, and if that helped, but those postures you helped to call attention to (thanks again), those kneeling postures MB posted separately and kept on top of the forum for several days, given to him by I believe Srila Yogeshwarananda, those are so potent, that I now believe a 5 minutes infusion of Bhastrika ending with them, will not fail to raise the Kundalini.

But again, be very careful and keep your locks properly or one can get hurt by falling.

Alfredo's Reply:

Michael!

That you say this, is very humbling to me because it is all because of you.

Man...was I lucky to bump into you in that LinkeIn group! And then to recognize who you were and grab the teaching!

You are one of a kind, man...write books like we write emails, and then some.

Thanks for the compliments Alfredo.

For months now I had not seen Swami Hariharananda but after you joined this forum, I saw him near the place in South Florida where his asham is. This is on the astral level. Somehow he pulled my astral body there.

He was smiling and he said he wanted to encourage me to speak with you. So I said:

"Guru Swamiji, once these fellows get a reputed guru like you, they do not listen to anyone else. And for that matter if he has not advanced under your guidance, then certainly he is not going anywhere under mine. What can I tell him?"

Then he replied like this,

"Do not worry about that. I want you to help him with the pranayama practice. That is the secret to this as you know. Just show him a few times. I am confident that he will catch on to it. You won't have to help him much, because I know that you are hostile to taking disciples, which is a very good quality in you."

Interesting read, even though I couldn't understand some of it as I haven't studied it yet. But I will get to it at one point, I think.
