Woke up early.
Study: Continued studying "Kundalini, The Mother of the Universe". Quote by Rishi Singh Gherwal:
"Yogins should practice the Bhastrika Kumbhaka, three hours daily; then he need have no fear of death".
Breath Infusion: About 40 minutes of Bhastrika in both seated and standing postures. Reflexes in some posture have to be refined and acquired with practice. Aim the same, push air in the front from the navel down to the groin and beyond while using proper locks and pulling up the belly tightly.
Meditation: Concentrated on left and right eye. Pull down eyes and observed a round, blue ball, surrounded by black halo. Concentrated on sound.

Amazing that Rishi Singh Guruji gave the stipulation of three hours of practice daily. This is consistent with an instruction Srila Yogeshwarananda told me about. The kumblak here is not a forced one but it held after each session of breath infusion during the three hours, as soon as the system has distributed the stocked-up air, then the yogi should release the kumblak and begin the breath infusion again.
If one holds kumblak causing the system to hold and build up carbon dioxide then that is not the kumblak done in bhastrika. That is a negative kumblak or check of breathing process for making the system live on carbon dioxide the way the trees exist.
For bhastrika positive kumblak, pump in the prana (fresh air) and keep pumping it in until you feel that the system can take no more. Then stop on an exhale and freeze the system. As soon as you do this focus within the psyche to see where the accumulated prana is going and direct it as instructed by the yoga guru in previous conversations.
Initially though students should do a rechak hold instead of a kumblak hold because the rechak hold gives more lock power to a beginning. Kumblak hold is for experts who know how to maneover hidden lock in the chest and neck, locks which one discovers in advanced practice and which are not even mentioned in yoga books.
Rechak hold is when you stop on an inhale and hold instead of stopping on an exhale and holding.
If however you notice that kundalini has aroused or that a small kundalini has formed, then go there within and check it out closely but keep your locks and be attentive, do not let kundalini act like a pleasure-mad, sensation-crazy, mad animal. If kundalini is piercing through dried up or blocked nadis, then that is great. Do whatever you have to do to encourage kundalini to continue doing this.
Sometimes by wiggling the body or by jerk movements one can cause kundalini to do more cleaning work in nadis and to spread out more in nadis.
The main thing here is to speak out. Let a more advanced yogi know what is happening so that he or she can give you tips on how to accelerate the practice. If you keep your trap shut, then that is your problem. Who will help you then? The student has to speak up and then help will be forthcoming.

Thanks!
Were the Yogi(s) referring to 3 hours in a row or 3 hours total (could be 2 or 3 sessions)?

Three hours at once.
If it is broken up into session of say one hour each, then that is one type of practice with one type of result.
If it is consolidated into one session of three hours, it is another type of practice with another result.
The student will not get the same result from these.
All the same a student who is not advanced should not try to go to the three hour one-time session because that student cannot make use of that much practice and does not know enough about the inner workings of kundalini and the other forces which one has to deal with in these practices.
Over time one should increase the time of practice but only if one’s lifestyle is altered and providence permits this.
=========================
Consider this; the two of us design a rocket which we hope to propel out of the earth’s orbit into outer space. We heard that there are precious metals on Mars. The idea is to go there, gather some of the metal, return to earth and cash out.
How does that sound?
So there are two rocket scientists working for us. It will take approximately three thousand pounds of rocket fuel to get us out of the earth’s orbit. That is all we need because once we get out of its orbit, we can use gravity and cosmic wind to take us to Mars. Once there we can escape to return by collecting a radioactive metal there which we can use in a small nuclear power unit which we carefully designed.
Of the two scientists, the old man said that we should burn the three thousand pounds of fuel continuously. But the younger scientist had a plan. He considered this overnight when he had a brain storm. He said that we should not be in too much of a hurry. We can just burn 1000 pounds of fuel in the morning, then shut off the engines, then burn another 1000 pounds at noon, then shut down again. Then burn the last 1000 pounds at sun set. His explanation is that if we make one burn as prescribed by the old man, then the rocket will be under a tremendous stress and might vibrate and split apart. The whole thing might even explode taking our lives.
So which system do you think we should adopt?
