Meditate Anywhere Anytime

You may have heard that a person can meditate anywhere anytime, can transcend any situation and can do whatever is needful at any place. This is supposed to be a profile of spiritually advanced persons.

Over the years I have not reached that level of advancement. For that matter I used to always try to live in the country parts, away from the hustle and bustle of modern city life. I always was wary about association with people who had little or no interest in spiritual practice.

If there is music playing it disturbs my meditation. Sure I can keep meditating but that would mostly be an attempt at meditation.

The environment, the people I am with, the people who happen to be my employers, all affect the quality of my meditation practice.

Right now I am supposed to be putting out a series of little books just for the eBook market. That project is now frozen because the environment which I am in currently does not permit me to even think about the books.

Every time I try to think of it, there is this large blank space between me and the projection, like if I am driving down a highway and then suddenly I meet this 3 thousand foot chasm which was created by an earthquake. I can barely see the other side of it but I know for sure that I am not going to drive an inch further on that high way.

So much for the idea that it does not matter where I am and that I can meditate with just as well anywhere anytime.
