Long-term interruption to the Gaithersburg inSelf Yoga classes
Because I am relocating by this summer to the Kalamazoo, MI area from DC Metropolitan, on account of family obligations I will be not available to personally share inSelf Yoga in a class format. I read the following to the class, but it was directed to and concerned with about only two individuals in close to a year of sharing. I felt it necessary to do this:
I hope that I have not misled anyone in understanding that this class is limited to the scope of other yoga curricula or agendas. The ending of this class for now should not have a bearing on the commitment to advancement and evolution through the path of yoga.
I never benefited from this kind of setting to start on this yoga. So it is up to each to see how to proceed from here, this situation is no excuse for any of us, we can’t let ourselves down instead we constantly have to skim to give ourselves a chance.
My mother as an average Muslim woman gets up a the crack of dawn to do her first prayer of five per day, the last one is at dusk, unless there is need for extended piety then there is also a night prayer. Most Christians are in Church at this time on a Sunday, which constitutes at least a weekly commitment.
A yogi is aiming at more than the ritualistic accomplishments of religion, the yogi is concerned with the consciousness, that really means a more regular and systematic endeavor. In spite of the rewards that will in time manifest in every aspect of our lives, it is significantly more challenging then when one belongs to an overgrown system of support.
