I did a kriya this morning which is the tight-ball kriya. This is when one does bhastrika pranayama or kapala bhati. Then during the practice with full internal focus, one draws down the subtle body into a tight ball of energy. Then one infuses this tight ball until it explodes outwards like a grenade.
This practice was shown to me by Lahiri Mahasaya who appeared this morning and checked my practice. He came from the same astral direction from which Srila Yogeshwarananda usually comes.
This practice concerns going back to when the fetus of the present body was first formed as just a cell structure in a roughly circular shape and also to the time about the 3rd month of the mother’s pregnancy when the subtle body is curled up in a ball and the forming fetus is also curled up with an arched-over back. After this 3rd month the spine of the fetus begins to straighten a bit.
In this practice the energies of the subtle body are pulled in to the navel area but with the spine arching around the navel until the whole system is in a tightly-compressed ball. Then the breath is infused until it gets white hot in the subtle body. Then the yogi continues the breath infusion. After a time the system explodes outwards.
This practice is part of the method for making sure that the subtle body sheds its tendency for coming back to get a physical body after the demise of the current one.
Kundalini is the main force for reinforcing this need for a physical body. Hence if one can elevate the tendencies of the kundalini one can break this habit of repeated transmigration, of automatically recycling through material existence.
I have not seen Lahiri Baba in the astral world for some years now, I was surprised that he appeared but I did not question anything. Since he came from the same astral location where Srila Yogesh usually comes, I assumed that he was there to give me an instruction about my current practice.
That proved to be the fact.

Dean's question: Having yogis appear to assist you with your practice that you have not seen in some time, an indication that they are assisting you to 1) not leave any stone unturned when it comes to getting kundalini under your thumb and 2) reaching the end of the use of this physical body?

Once your practice reaches an advance level and you are eligible to become a siddha, then the advanced teachers, who are in the astral world with or without material bodies, take note of you.
One will come to assist you with a certain practice. Then another will come, depending on the area of their particular expertise.
It is very similar to smoke signals. American Indians used smoke signals to send messages over large distances. Some years ago Che Guevara was killed in Bolivia because the Americans detected his presence by his cooking heat which emitted infrared rays.
In the astral world the great yogis see when someone is practicing at an advanced stage because of the vibrations which go out from the student yogi’s astral body. The great yogis come to help if the energy which emanates from a yogi seems to require some correction.
The easiest way to find a great yogin is to practice sincerely and to be committed 100% to a daily practice. Then that gives off a certain vibration which is seen by more advanced yogis in the astral domains.
