Surya Ji!

As mentioned in a post before, I uploaded theses letters in the file section.

They are unique in that they show an interaction between one of the greatest yoga masters in recent memory and his disciples.

For the western mind that would doubt what Yoganandaji said about Lahiri's initiation into Kriya Yoga by Babaji Maharaj, due to his timing appointment to northern India, near the Himalayas, and the dreamy description that can now, among us, be only interpreted as astrally-situated.

There are certain terms and certain names that only Kriyavans of that lineage may know, such as Paravastha or Panchanon Battacharya, or Dukori, that belong to the Bengali language. Yogananda, Satyananda, and Hariharananda were also Bengali, as well as Swami Shriyukteshwar from Serampore, West Bengal. Differently from the others mentioned, Shriyukteshwarji was no Brahmin, but Vaishya by caste.

This is an excerpt from the letters: "A couple of days after coming here I did 1728 pranayams as per your instructions. I started at eight in the morning and ended at eight at night. It was all a little fast".

As I mentioned to you, 1728 cycles in 12 hours = 720 minutes or 2.4 minutes per cycle.

When I used to do the 144 cycles it took me 1.25 hours = 75 minutes, or 1.92 minutes per cycle, not far off.

Surya Ji!

Another thing.

The Yonimudra they used, later called Jyotimudra comes straight from Hatha Yoga Pradipika.

This apparently Lahiri Baba simply incorporated.

But the so-called Kriya Pranam or later called Kriya-bow is one of the most powerful Kriyas ever devised. They designed it, they say, as a way to equalize ida and pingala before pranayama. I can attest to its power, though.

All these kriyas are supposedly secret, but they are now thoroughly explained in the Internet!

Amazing! Balancing sounds like quiet a concept.

What is your experience with this kriya-bow? More details on it? Thank you!

Experiences with the Kriya Bow are very good. I just uploaded a file that contains some of this information.
