Kundalini Yoga Certification

This is to clarify what kundalini yoga certification is, and how to get it from me or from someone who was trained and is certified by me.

First of all kundalini yoga concerns the subtle body. It is for targeting and adjusting energy in the subtle body. The physical system is used in this process, but the objective is to affect the subtle body.

You do not have to master all the asana posture forms to be certified. This process is mostly a breath infusion process on the physical end. It is not so much about postures. Even if a person was expert in postures, say if a person was a gymnast for instance or a contortionist, still that is not kundalini yoga.

You may be strapped down in a wheel chair and I may certify you anyway even though you cannot move your physical body into postures, but that is provided that you can operate your diaphragm to do breath infusion.

The question is:

Why do I do postures?

Why do I teach the use of postures while doing the breath infusion?

The answer is that in the advanced stages of the practice, it is necessary to target specific hard to reach areas of the subtle body. To do so one must assume various postures which allow for the infused energy to penetrate those areas.

For the initial certification one does not need to target those parts. It is sufficient to just raise kundalini up the spine into the brain. Therefore no one should feel that the lack of assumption of many postures will disqualify one from certification. It just will not do so.
