Kundalini Down-Flow

This morning’s meditation was changed due to questioning during the session by Pranajogi. This conversation began during the breath infusion session just before I sat to meditate. Pranajogi was harping on the fact that when kundalini is struck by prana severely, it tries to move and if the locks are applied successfully by the student, then kundalini always moves upwards and not downwards or sideways.
All the same if the student does not apply the locks successfully, then kundalini may ooze out through the base chakra or the sex chakra. It may rise upwards as well and strike unawares, where the student loses contact with the body, the body falls and the student experiences a white-out, a gold-out or a black-out.
Pranajogi was not interested in the experiences of those students who hold the locks inefficiently. The conversations were about those who do and his big question to me which I could not answer right off the bat, was this:
Why does kundalini not go downwards when it is struck by prana?
So in the whole meditation more or less I worked on finding out the reason for this.
Maybe I will write something later when I have a full conclusion about this. However in the meantime, this is what happens when the yogi causes that energy to go downwards, as shown in the diagrams below.
Once kundalini is trapped and cannot go out through the base chakra or cannot express itself in the sex organ chakra, then it cannot get out the psyche unless it goes through the navel. If that is locked, then it has to go through the throat. If that is locked, then it has to go into the head, where the student may lose control if he or she is not attentive and has not perfected the mind lock.
But the question remains as to why kundalini does not go into the thighs, legs and feet. Why does the student have to practice for months if not years, to master kundalini to the extent of forcing it to first go into the lower extremities and then rising up from there, instead of neglecting the extremities and leave heavy astral energies in those parts of the psyche?
Questions of this nature are not a mental exercise but an actual assignment lesson given by the yoga guru to bring the student’s attention to certain important kriyas and the need for special techniques when the student is stuck on the path of mastery of kundalini.
