Kundalini Charge Preliminary

When doing the kundalini exercises, one will first have to do the preliminary charge. This is a four stage process. If this is done successfully, kundalini will rise immediately after if one continues to increase the charge. This is because kundalini will have no choice in the matter, but this does not mean that one will be able to direct where kundalini will go. It will move in some direction, but which direction is left open because that depends on the yogi’s proficiency in practice, on the blockages in his psyche and in the type of charge force which accumulated.

I will now go over the four stage process:

Kundalini Charge Preliminary Stage one

Stage one:

Charge the lung and heart fully with fresh air infusion through rapid breathing. This involves an aggressive use of the diaphragm. In fact all of bhastrika or kapala bhati pranayama breathing involves this aggressive use of the diaphragm. The diaphragm is the main muscle involved in rapid breathing. Bhastrika is when there is rapid breathing with focus on both the in and out breaths. Kapala bhati which is easier is when that breathing is done with focus on the out breath, with the in breath occurring just as a reflex of the forced out breath.

This stage one of charging the chest region of the body (breast and rig cage in women), is the first stage because that is just the way the breathing is designed to enter the nostrils, feed down the neck and be absorbed into the lungs or be expelled from it.

Once that is done and those cells are filled up with fresh air, they will allow the rest of the body to benefit from the infusion.

Kundalini Charge Preliminary Stage two

Stage two:

This is infusion from the chest to the navel area. This causes blockages in the navel to be shattered by the force of the breath infusion energy. These energies are directly above the navel and they flow into the navel but they get locked there and do not flow out easily. When one does the infusion and the infused energy reaches this blockage, it forces its way through and it pushes the old energy downward.

If you were to see this psychically, you would notice that the energy reaches a dead end and then cannot go beyond the navel. What happens if there is the increase energy push from the infusion, and that the energy then twirls around the navel vortex and then it flows downward. In most persons, this does not happen but if one does the infusion, it will happen.

The yogi has to endeavor and this will occur in the process of time.

Kundalini Charge Preliminary Stage three

Stage three:

In this stage the energy which has twirled around the navel goes downwards in a hurry, trying to meet the reproductive center. It rushes there and then when it gets there instead of reaching a dead end, it enters into the reproductive area in a flush and mixes with the sexual energy. As a result of this mix the nature of the sexual energy changes and that energy loses its lusty charge. This energy then flows upwards a little and then turns downwards into the genital region.

Kundalini Charge Preliminary Stage four

Stage four:

This is the last stage of the preliminary practice. This is where that energy which was mixed with the sex energy, goes in a hurry to the base chakra of kundalini. It tries to strike kundalini but at first, kundalini expresses a rejection energy in order to repel that force. The matter would end there with that rejection being effective but if the yogi continues the infusion, then the charge will become stronger and more potent and it will attack kundalini and mix with kundalini.

The explosive mix causes kundalini to move from its position.

So these are the four stages of preliminary kundalini rise. During each session one has to go through these stages either rapidly in a short time, or gradually according to the intensity of practice. A novice does this and the proficient master does this as well with the difference being that the master can complete this preliminary stage in the first 5 or 10 minutes of practice, and the novice might take 20 or 30 minutes.
