This is really connected to yoga, so I wanted to say a little more on this. I did some internal research on this and found that in sexual orgasm, the kundalini links with the sexual energy in a highly charged sparked condition.

When this happens the intellect links with that already linked energy and that is experienced as sex pleasure. If the intellect does not link into it, it is a sexual experience without the intense pleasure.

This means three components are involved in sexual orgasm which are sexual energy, kundalini life force and intellect attention.

When kundalini is experienced in the head of the subtle body, then these same three energies are involved. The difference then is one of location.

In sex experience the primary location is the genitals and from there the energy spreads out to different areas of the psyche. In the kundalini spinal arousal experience, the primary location is the spine and head and from there it might spread to other areas.

In terms of travel, in sex experience there is the buildup of sexual hormones which produce a charged condition of energy. This energy is then stimulated which increases its charged condition. This charged force, jumps from the genitals to the base chakra. This linkage causes an intense charge which is experienced as sexual climax. During the increase in energy but before sexual climax, the intellect comes down from the head of the subtle body and yokes or links into the aroused sexual force and that is interpreted as sexual pleasure or sexual union and pleasure.

In terms of travel for kundalini arousal up the spine into the head, kundalini becomes supercharged in one way or the other. When it does this at the base chakra, it pulls to itself the hormone energy which is in the system and which includes sexual hormone energy. This energy then shoots up the spine and enters the head. As soon as it enters the head, it darts itself to the intellect. When it fuses with the intellect that is experienced as ananda or spiritual bliss energy. This causes opening of brow chakra and crown chakra and the person experiences various levels of higher consciousness.
