Rishi Singh Gherwal asked me to give these notations about jump kundalini, which is a process used by yogis, to prepare for kundalini control at the time of death of the gross body.
He said that sometimes a yogi cannot get his act together at the time of death, because death might come suddenly without the yogi being able to adjust kundalini just before it happens, He also said that sometimes certain incapacitating terminal diseases may cause a yogi to lose grip on kundalini during the last months or years of the body’s life.
However he said that if the yogi can master jump kundalini before the body reaches a bad state in which kundalini cannot be handled effectively, then when kundalini finally leaves the physical form and is free from being responsible for it, the yogi can then use the method already developed to jump kundalini to a higher chakra in the subtle body.
Jump kundalini is the method of causing kundalini’s base to jump to a higher chakra. Rishi said this:
Jump kundalini is not the same as kundalini arousal for any purpose, like kundalini arousal for sex climax or kundalini arousal for higher awareness. In those situations the energy of kundalini moves from the base chakra but its base remains the same as muladhara chakra at the end of the spine.
Jump kundalini means that the base itself moves with the kundalini. When the yogi gets the base to move upwards from the base to the 2nd chakra or from the base to the 5th chakra, that is jump kundalini. The yogi has to practice and make the base jump upwards, preferably he has to attain the power to make it jump into the brain.
When Baladeva, the brother of Krishna, left his body, it is described that his life force left that form through the top of the head. Such feats are attained only by persons who can jump kundalini’s base.

MiBeloved’s Response:
The yogi has to first get the entire trunk of the subtle body and the two appendages which hang down from the trunk (legs, thighs, feet) to be infused with a higher energy. This means in the subtle body.
Once that is done, kundalini’s adhesive which keeps it at the base chakra is loosened and then kundalini becomes submissive to the calling power of the yogi.
Kundalini becomes something that might float up. It gets buoyancy, otherwise as it is normally, it is heavy and cannot be lifted up.
Kundalini settles first into the semen of the father during the formation of the semen, as the root energy there. From that it creates for itself a tail part which later becomes the blueprint for the spinal column. It is basically like a reptile, like an alligator, but with its brain at the end of its tail.
When it is transferred into the mother’s uterus, kundalini becomes the gravitational force which anchors the core-self for the formation of the fetus.
From its anchor point at the base chakra, kundalini conducts the growth and maintenance of the physical body. In the subtle body it is located in the same place basically at the base of the spine of that form.
To unhinge it one has to attack its grossness. To do so one has to change its energy composition. And that may be done proficiently by dong pranayama which is the 4th stage of yoga.
Some people try to use visualization and mystic exercise of will power to command kundalini but usually kundalini just ignores their attempts.
Instead of responding, it stays put at the base and directs them in getting pleasures like eating tasty foods and having sexual indulgences.
In the Upanishad period in India, some yogis came to the conclusion that the most definite way to upset kundalini was through pranayama.
The idea is to sabotage the natural way of kundalini and to bring it under control so that one can be transited to a higher dimension. By itself as it is, kundalini is only concerned with gross existence in a material body in any species of life. Thus to upset that one has to change its energy intake. An aggressive pranayama practice is a sure way of achieving this.
For a beginner kundalini is deliberately raised by doing breath of fire or another effective breath infusion practice. After repeatedly raising kundalini once or twice per day, a student manages to flush out most of the lower mento-emotional energy in the psyche. Due to that kundalini begins to lose its grossness and when the student exercises, he finds that kundalini’s base may sometimes float up to a higher chakra. Then a great yogi will appear and will give advice on how to pull kundalini up to higher chakras deliberately.
