Human activities may be broken down into two distinct and one muddled category which are:

1.     buddhi lila / analytical planned activities

2.     kundalini lila / instinct-driven, non-planned involuntary activities

3.     kundalini/buddhi combination acts which are a mixture of planned and involuntary activities

The last category (3) need not be considered if one can get control of the first two factors.  But the first need not be considered if one can get control of the second, because unless the second motivator, the kundalini, is present, the first factor, the buddhi analytical psychic organ, cannot do anything either.

The animal instincts, the creature survival outlays, are all sponsored by the kundalini which in turn motivates the buddhi intellect organ to act in a way which is supportive of the survival aspect.

To understand this a little, let us consider the rich man who was one of the wealthiest people in the world. He had a villa in the Swiss Alps. One day when he was going home from church, a staggering drunk man said this to him, “I know you! You are nothing but a pig!”

The wealthy man replied, ”How dare you address me like this. I am the person to whom you are indebted. I build the road you walk on. I own the tavern you got the alcohol from. I financed the brewery where the liquor you drank was made. You should appreciate me. Apologize forthwith.”

But the drunken man again said this,

“I know you! You are nothing but a pig!”

The rich man then stamped his right foot, took off his overcoat, removed his glasses, rolled up his sleeve and challenged the drunken fellow to a fight. He said,

“Let us settle this by fighting. I will show you who the pig is.”

The drunken fellow kept walking, ignoring the wealthy man, the drunk finally said this, “It is as I said. You defined it better. You are a pig for reputation. What do I have to do with any species of pig?”

Hearing those last words, the rich man reflected within himself with sadness.
