How to get prana in the thighs

During exercises, kundalini rose several times into the trunk of the body with aggressive force. Once kundalini came up under the armpits on either side, as a spike energy which was condensed bliss force. It then shot through the arms.

 

During the practice, Rishi Singh Gherwal began to discuss the importance of working on what he called the lower extremities, which are the thighs, legs and feet. He feels that a yogi should try to keep the feet in tip top shape in as much as in yoga the head is stressed.

 

Rishi said this:

 

“The thighs are used by kundalini primarily for the creation of reproductive hormones and so that area is usually off limits to the yogi. The yogi has to do stretches in asana postures where the thighs are targeted, so that the accumulation of blood and energy there is distributed through the body and does not remain there to be collected for genital expression is sexual intercourse.

 

“In its natural state, the thighs are the enemy of celibacy which is a necessary for success in yoga. Therefore a yogi has to spend some time reforming the energy which is created in the thigh.

 

“As the body get older the legs and feet become starved of oxygen, so a yogi should take note of that and make special efforts to get the old blood in those extremities back to the lungs for a fresh recharge of oxygen. The psyche is one mechanism and even though in yoga, there is focus on the head mostly, a yogi should not neglect the other parts of the subtle body.

 

“The physical body is a different body, but the neglect of it, causes unwanted alternations on the subtle form. Hence a yogi should care for the gross body in so far as the subtle form will mimic the gross form’s behavior”

 

In compliance with Rishi’s statement, I took care to push air into the thighs especially through their central bones. This is done by doing rapid breathing in a posture which stretches the thigh muscles, and keeping the attention of the mind in the thigh during the breathing. This keeping of the attention in the thigh causes subtle air to be pulled into the thighs in the subtle body. This breaks down the subtle sexual energy which is stored there and causes it to course though the entire body instead of being channeled into the genitals.
