Higher Meditation Techniques / Yoga-guru

Breath infusion practice was very efficient. Srila Yogeshwarananda came and smiled since I was able to really discipline the energy in the psyche. Such disciplinary powers come from increased sensual detachment and increased resistance to enjoyment. These are due to being able to absorb the influence of the Yoga-guru, rather than push it aside or neglect it, which is the natural way.

Srila Yogesh is on stand-by to render assistance and give more advanced kriyas but he can do so only if I advance further in the practice.

Being a teacher I am repeatedly confronted with students who do not understand that unless they practice, they cannot be given assistance. What will happen if we give a new iPad to a chimpanzee? What will that do? But if we were to facilitate the animal’s evolution and allow it to move up into the human behavioral mode, then an Ipad might be useful.

Getting higher techniques when one is not at the stage where one could make use of it, is just a distraction. Fiddling with the instrument panel on a jet aircraft will not help a toddler who does not even know how to repeat the alphabet.

====================

When I sat to meditate, naad sound blared. It had a vortex at the centre of the right ear. I linked to it (dharana) and remained linked effortlessly (dhyana). I remained linked in it for about an estimate of 15 minutes (partial samadhi applied to naad alone). After that the naad sound converted into silver light. It flashed once and then it was a diffused silver light all over the psyche.

Dean's question: Does this silver light help to transform the current subtle body into a siddha form?

The answer could be yes, or the silver light is a development in the transformation of the subtle body into a siddha body.

Initially naad is just a sound.

If you read through many of the yoga manuals from India, naad sound will be listed as a sound only. Kirpal Singh Guruji convinced us that naad sound was more than that but no other person in the recent history of yoga has said what he said about it.

Sri Krishna explained it to Uddhava as a blend of musical notes.

Thus initially it is just a high pitched frequency but then if you dedicate yourself to it and if you infuse the subtle body sufficiently, it will allow some visual perception of it, and then you will go beyond just the beginning stages.

A kitten begins with no vision. No vision means no form, nothing, blank-ness, void but if you persist and if your subtle body developed the supernatural perception, then that changes and there is distinction of forms.

No one can convince the kitten during the first week of its life, that there is shape, color and form. The kitten will not believe it. However as soon as the body of the kitten finishes creating the eyes, and the lids separate, then the kitten will know something about form.

By trusting naad, the way one had to trust the mother during infancy, by doing breath infusion daily and efficiently, one will in time come to see things.
