Having a Main Meditation Object
The Buddhist approach does not give importance to energy movements in the subtle body. The goal is to STOP THINKING and focusing on subtle body sensations is regarded as a deterrent to silencing the mind. However if the inSelf yogi is using naad sound resonance as the object of meditation, this would be compatible to the Buddhist yogic approach. The Thai forest monk Ajahn Suchart was questioned on this and I imaged his response below.
In my experience, focusing on subtle body energy movement compared to a creature going in circles chasing its own tail. There was no end to the variations and repeats of energy movements.
