Glued to a Thought-Energy

In meditation this morning I reviewed the default condition of consciousness which one has when one realizes the self as a material body after birth of that body.

It is like there is nothing before having that body. It is that life suddenly began with that consciousness, with a ready-made world surrounding one in the form of parents, relatives, teachers, friends, hostile neighbors, animals, the sun, the moon, the dirt in which plants grow, the seas and rivers, the stars in the sky at night.

And then when one closes the eyes at night one finds another world, the one of the mind, in which there are images, memories, conceptions, reasonings and the like. Then there are feelings in the form of emotions which are sometimes pleasing and sometimes distressful.

There is privacy in the mind, where I could plan to kill my enemy or to love my friend. But then someone made a response to me which causes me to think that perhaps that person surmised my thoughts.

Is there no privacy here?

Is it all exposed for others to see?

How will I outsmart others, if they can see into my mind?

What sort of world is this?

How will the lion kill the deer if the deer can know the schemes of ambush in the lion’s mind?

I looked at this, this morning in meditation, going over the history of my relationship in this life with the mind.

Am I living in the mind or not?

Where is the mind located?

What am I?

Am I living in the mind like a hermit living in a shack in the woods?

What else is in the shack of the mind?

Am I the only object in the mind?

Do I have to take up a certain sense to see, like a hermit looking through a piece of glass he found near a volcano?

======================

This morning in meditation, at first I was glued to naad sound which was at the back right side of the subtle head. I was there like man with his back glued to a wall. I looked forward. There was nothing else around; just a space, just mental atmosphere in the subtle head. Then there was a sudden change where I was glued to a thought-energy which appeared out of nowhere. There were three of these energies which appeared instantly. These were like three pieces of plastic floating in the wind but I found myself glue to one of these. Then the other two disappeared.

As soon as I found myself glued to that thought-energy, I began to think of a specific person. This person was the person from whose mind this thought was projected through space into my subtle head.

Then there was this back and forth conversation between me and this person.

Who was this person?

This is someone whom I had not seen physically since 1973. I recently, within the past year, began seeing this person astrally about once per week. Suddenly now this person is able to reach me astrally even though I did not expressly desire to see this person.

Hanging out with this person physically or astrally is not in my interest because to be a siddha I have to go for other types of association. This type of association will cause me to again remain as an earth-bound soul. And yet presently I am unable to cease the association with this person.

With this person there was a back and forth conversation. Then I began to get my act together as a yogi. Then I slowly decreased the interest energy which was invested from me into the thought package energy and it disappeared along with the thoughts of that person. I was then back into naad sound again and resumed the meditation from there.

Has this ever happened to you?

Were you able to break away?

How did you do it?
