Today during breath infusion, I took stock of my impetus for practice. This is a review of my yoga gurus and the specific assistance rendered by each. This is time for appreciations to persons. I have no void, oneness or now-ness to thank for my progression but only yoga gurus and inspirations and discoveries which were self activated.  I am a person not a void. I am not a oneness of everything. All along I dealt with persons and took assistance from persons.

The three practices or kriyas which I focused on this morning during breath infusions were introduced by Yogi Bhajan, Swami Rama, Tibeti Yogi and Srila Yogeshwarananda.

Yogi Bhajan gave the general procedures for breath infusion using bhastrika and kapala bhati rapid breathing.

Swami Rama stressed the agnisara process. I did this process for years now. There was a time when about for two years, I did this daily. Originally this process was shown to me in detail by Arthur Beverford in the Philippines. I had seen it in books but he showed physically how it was done and he was good at it.

However later I saw that he was not practicing it on a daily basis. One may know of a practice, know how to do it properly and not do it on a daily basis. Once I met the Indra deity in the astral world. For some reason this deity explained to me about the success of siddhas in getting beyond the lower astral heavens which he regulates. He said that to pass those regions one has to conquer the navel chakra. This actually means mastery of the agnisara process and it confirms what Swami Rama said all along.

However it is not as simple as it sounds. Conquest of the navel includes conquest of the sexual hormone system and conquest of the lower extremities like the thighs, legs and feet. This is a tall order for any student yogi.

Tibeti yoga stressed cleaning the subtle thighs, legs and feet but that involves a complete change in design of the front sexual region of the subtle body.

Srila Yogeshwarananda gave a process for curbing the analytical orb for the purpose of developing inner brahmarandra. Student yogis might experience a burst outwards from the top of the head when kundalini rises into the head. That is not the same practice. Yogeshwarananda is speaking about a burst inwards in the head of the subtle body from the top downwards. This is different to the pictures one sees of a crown chakra forming on the head of the Buddha.

This post however is designed to give credit to these individuals and to encourage students to always make reference to their teachers and never to fail in those appreciations.
