Breath infusion practice this morning yielded some success in terms of stuffing down prana tightly into the trunk of the body. That it is an accomplishment because the system is sometimes resistant to this stuffing process and a whole session of breath infusion can add up to nothing unless this stuffing is efficiently done.
This is very similar to hydraulics. In that science if the seals are not tight and if the cylinders are manufactured in a third world country, you are not going to get the full conservation of energy. The system will leak. But if you go to Germany where people are just very firm materialists and take things in the material world very seriously, then the cylinders will be calibrated to the max. The best steel will be used. The rubbers will be tough and precision and you might even become disgusted with the efficiency of the machine and get tired waiting for it to breakdown.
Once years ago, by a favor of Dear Beloved, I got a chance to be in Germany. I was amazed. The Japanese are real precision people but the Germans are worse. If something requires a 4 inch square beam, they will manufacture it out of stronger grade of steel and it will be 8 inches square. They just do not take any chances with anything collapsing. It is said that they lost the war with the Russians when Hitler ordered his army to invade Soviet territory, just because they were manufacturing precision tanks. People checked some of the ball bearings on the tanks years after and found that they were the grade required for jet engines. What? These Germans go nuts about precision.
So like this as a student yogi, I took some lessons into my head about how to be precise in yoga practice. If your pranayama is sloppy, then you cannot expect the legendary results achieved by yogis like Gorakshnath, and Lahiri Mahasaya. We have to tighten up the practice, the way persons like Milarepa did and then things will happen big time.
