Funnel Chakra

Breath infusion practice today was productive, one special event was a funnel shaped chakra which pointed downwards. This is the lung chakra which is on the spine. When seen visually this chakra is shaped like a funnel which points downwards. As it operates it sends a wave motion downwards through the chakras on the spine which are below it.

In operating this chakra with breath infusion, the infused energy which is compressed in the action of rapid breathing, moves downward in a wave motion and then draws up energy from the lower trunk of the subtle body.

From time to time while doing breath infusion one might as one looks down into the subtle body, see various chakras, but the form and configuration, colors and vibrations of these may not correspond to what is written in the classic literature.

In some experiences there would be correlation with the literature however. It is best to jot down notes on these experiences and draw diagrams showing the location of a perception.

AspiringSiddha's query:

Why is it not the same? What does this depend on?

It is not the same because the configuration of your subtle body is different to that of the accomplished yogis who drew those diagrams and who gave those specific sounds of those locations.

The main thing is to accept what these ancient yogis wrote at face value but also to have an open mind just in case your subtle body is configured differently.

Does this apply to only yoga siddha accomplishment and above or ?? Just curious.

It applies to any stage of yoga practice, where the information we get from the ancient texts and also that from advanced yogis should be accepted but we should not feel that we will experience the very same impressions unless our subtle bodies are in the very same vibrational modes those yogis were in.

So you have to accept what they say with full faith but also be non-dogmatic, so that you are open to experience on a lower plane, on the level you are on at the time.
