Today (June 20-2012) I did a double session of breath infusion (bhastrika pranayama in various postures with various strange movements) under the astral supervision of Srila Yogeshwarananda.
What is a double session?
This is when the student does a complete session to his or her satisfaction. Then acts as if no session was done and begins the session all over again from scratch.
The second session however is usually shorter because most of the resistance is gone and the nadis are cleared and the energy flows freely and quickly. If a full session last for 30 minutes, then the second session might last for 15-20 minutes.
When I sat to meditate, there was an upward pushing force which was pushing the entire physical body to the back. Sitting in lotus posture, it was as if there was an air pressure pushing the chest of the body to the back. This lasted for about 7 minutes.
Simultaneously I focused on naad light which was extra bright. Then there was a flash of light from the top of the head, like a flash of light overhead, where you do not see the source of the light but only its illumination.
This flash remained luminous for some time, for about 5 minutes or so and then it was reduced to a dim glow overhead. I did not look up to see the source of it since in the past, pursuing these lights visually for focusing on them, produced an abrupt departure of the light where it vanishes into nowhere.
If one sees a light or a flash of light in meditation, one should simply relax and not move one’s focus to chase the light. If anything one should move the focus slowly and gently and then there is a chance that the light may not disappear.
Sometime after the light was reduced to a dim glow, I looked forward at the third eye area, many scenes like night vision appeared, passing on and on and on, periodically there was a cloud of white light and then the night vision images passed by.
