This piece of art reminds me of the incident where a student of meditation, finally gets to internalize. I think it is called introspection. But then he or she realizes that nothing was achieved because on the internal plane there is this sensual hurricane going on, where the withdrawn sensual energies begin their intense internal assault in the container of the psyche.
The student was outside the container of the self and heard about the necessity of sensual energy withdrawal. He got a handle on the peeking out tendency and no longer was looking out. Then someone congratulated him on successful meditation and said he was a transcendentalist.
However he found that the sensual energies, when bottled up in the container of the psyche, were carrying on their medley even more intensely than they did on the outside of the psyche. What could be done about it?
He successfully escaped from the riot in the city only to find that in his house there was a more traumatic violence in motion.

I can relate to the expression of the woman's face!
I have hidden in my house to escape the city,
and I have assumed the posture of a blind person while in my house in order to avoid dealing with the "traumatic violence in motion."
inSelf yoga is a serious effort to deal in-house with all the nice, nasty, undeveloped, overdeveloped tendencies of the psyche and to organize and clean the contents. It takes courage to dive into the storm and get to work.
I really appreciated this ribbon and the responses.

I got a private email about the relationship between the advantage of sensual enjoyment and the instance of sensual energy withdrawal. Both concern only one feature of existence which is experience. Both yield experience but sensual enjoyment gives experience by going away from the experiencer, while sensual energy withdrawal does so by going towards the experiencer.
In sensual enjoyment, the organism brings things outside of its psyche under its control into a convenient order for it, while in sensual energy withdrawal the organism brings its psychology under its control into a convenient order for it. In both cases the objective is to bring chaos into order for its convenience.
In the video, one type of prehistory creature emerged in the creation with a readymade psyche which created for itself a material body which had the advantage over other massive organisms. This creature then brought things to order at its convenience by using its weapon-laden body to pick off whatever it found to be choice for its diet.
In the static video produced by the artist for the ribbon, the lady emerged in the creation which was readymade in her psyche but she did not have the advantage over the massive energies which were in her psyche. She was perplexed about how to bring order in that chaos.
In comparison, we see that the prehistoric top predator was better prepared in its pre-existence, to such an extent that it came out in the physical creation with the advantage in the form of tools to bring this creation to order for its convenience. Hence it did not suffer from the perplexing mental condition of the lady in the art-video.

The lady in the banner is going against the force of nature which propels forward the evolutionary cultural process by endeavoring to withdraw her involvement and investments. The dinosaur is merged with evolution, and thus in his pre-oneness philosophy, or unconscious oneness philosophy averts the conflict with those energies which he assumes are himself. The lady seeks order for the sake of a sense of psychological security.

There are human beings to whom this frame of reference that you refer to does not apply as they have left behind in their soul evolution that conundrum, there are far and between, Ramana Maharshi comes to mind. He on the absolute scale of detachment. They are spiritually-advanced, unique beings.
Then there are those who are blessed with a high degree of detachment when facing the sensual/sexual predicament, not yet in the scale of a saint like Ramana but perhaps working towards it, this high quality of yours struck me as soon as I met you, it manifests, among other less obvious ways, in your ascetic nature, soft manner of speech, and keen psychology and intellect. That is why I believe your frame of reference in this matter does not click, you are not the poorer for it.
