Energy Infusion into Yoga Student

On the astral side, Swami Hariharananda explained this morning the system of infusing energy into a student’s psyche. This is done by a yoga guru. Some gurus claimed to do this even to several students simultaneously.

Is this for real or not?

Is this a con or not?

Why is it that some people leave a lecture after listening to a guru and come away disappointed while others are elated making claims about having spiritual experiences through the infusion influence of the guru?

=======================

Swami Hariharananda said this:

Many students cannot make progress unless the yoga guru first infuses their psyches with a higher grade of energy. To do this infusion the guru must either transmit such higher energy or enter into the form of the student and infuse the energy while in there.

The method used depends on the guru and the student. Those students who are very compatible with the guru and who are consistent in the spiritual practice recommended, are usually inhabited by the guru during some phases of practice, and from within the psyche of the student, the guru does certain actions to change the alignment and configuration of energy within the student’s aura.

The self is a resident in its psyche just as the tenant is a resident of a house. As one resident can leave its house and enter the premises of another, so the yoga guru can leave his or her psyche and enter the psyche of the student.

The amount of assistance which can be rendered through this mystic action, varies from student to student. Say for instance that a student cannot pass a certain high school exam. He tried repeatedly, say three times, and failed the exam. Then he is sent to a remedial school. The remedial teacher will have to work with him on a one-on-one basis to find out which part of the course he did not completely understand.

Another student who never failed the exam, never required the remedial assistance which means that the teachers may never have taught him one-on-one, because he absorbed the learning in a general classroom setting.

There is no cure for all. Each student requires personal attention from the teacher, who should be competent enough to recommend tailored and very particular methods for that student’s progress.

But here is the thing, and this is important, the student must have a burning desire for progress and must have that urge for spiritual development within. That, the teacher usually cannot provide. Has the student reached a stage in material existence where it has become a burning necessity to pursue spiritual inquiry?

The questions of that inquiry goes like this:

=======================

Who am I?

Why am I in the material world?

How did I wake up as somebody here?

What is my mission?

Will I become extinct when my presence no longer registers here?

=======================

If a student has not considered these subjects deeply, then it may be said that he or she is not ready for spiritual progress. And in that case, what is the need for a yoga-guru?
