Recently Sir Paul was discussing with me the incidence of an old body trying to do yoga. When the body gets older it is stricken with all sorts of diseases but we know for sure that arthritis increases, circulation gets slowed considerably, joints get very achy.
Elderly persons should therefore use their intelligence to create new exercises which an old body can do. Do not completely stop the asana posture or the breath intake but just adapt, make new exercises and continue.
One problem in old age is diabetes and another common problem is high blood pressure.
