Easiest time for an Out-of-body experience

The last 2 days my sleep cycle felt refreshing in the mornings. I pumped up my exercise routine and started to feel the benefits of it. Very quickly my body felt very relaxed. I would let go of my body on every exhale.

The last few out-of-body experiences were induced or stimulated by pushing or moving a visual image. It can also be referred as the “photographic trance state”. I first heard about this method explained with crisp clarity by Nick Newport form lucidology.com.

I felt I entered a borderline trance state or a light trance very quickly but I could not deepen it enough for the onset of an out-of-body experience, but I knew I was close. If you can get up to this state your practice is likely to be much more effective. My body felt very light and my mind felt detached from all physical concerns as when it feels dreamy. In my opinion being on this particular state would be a good starting point for any method of your choice. To me it happens in the mornings after 4-5 hours of continuous high quality sleep. The body being in naturally meditative state while boosting awareness with any approach will increase the probability of becoming aware during the onset of an out-of-body experience. I find this balance to be Key, the easiest time is the best time. Some might like to combine this approach with WBTB or Wake-Back-To-Bed or any other method that shifts and boosts your REM cycle.

The “dreamy” aspect would be for those like me that aren’t proficient with meditation. It’s not exactly the “dreamy” mind that we need, but the state or the opening window in which it exist that we should be looking out for. I would suspect that this “dreamy” aspect of the mind could be changed to a “focused in a light trance” mind as we become proficient in meditation after years of practice. The speed in which one can fall into one of these states and for how long it can be sustained will increase the opening window, or ability to project at will.

If you lose awareness or fall into a non-lucid dream you will know that your ability to stay aware needs boosting. Practice with meditation and feel comfortable with it. Confidence and determination will go a long way; pick a method that resonates to you.

If you cannot fall to sleep before 20-30 min after starting then you have the wrong “opening window” or your mind is not “dreamy” enough. Practicing at this time is Key because you can better isolate the physical factor, as it is already in a natural meditative state*. If you are trying a WBTB approach and you can’t fall back to sleep reduce the time of your wait.

*Having a body that is stress free might require special work.

MiBeloved's Response:

This may be understood in terms of the fact that the needs of the sleeping or resting physical system are a priority for the life force; which means that if the physical system needs rest, if it is not energized, then the life force will dole out the greater percentage of its energy for the maintenance and repair of the physical system.

If however the physical system is rested, then the life force will give more energy to the subtle body which is the system through which one gains astral consciousness and lucid dream perception.

If the greater percentage of energy is going to the physical system, then the subtle body will get very little energy from the life force, which will cause the objective perception of it to be very little or to be nil.

By all means one should attempt conscious astral projection from a rested physical body and even a rested and stress free mind.

One thing I emphasis again and again is that the attainment is not astral projection but conscious astral projection with stress on the world conscious. To get that one has to get energy from the life force system. It has to be freed up from its maintenance chores regarding the physical body.

Thanks for the clarification. Great follow up post. Good call on stressing the word “conscious”.

I pumped up my exercise routine and started to feel the benefits of it.

I think I should add that it was only until my body had healed and adjusted to the exercise that I started to feel the physical benefits that are conducive for out-of-body experiences.
